Proud of this one today.
Guested for a team in a tournament, knew no one on arrival but fitted right in.
Turned up, made 4/5 new pals, played well and only lost last minute in the final.
Little bro goes next week, tournament season in full swing.
The cricket has been gripping in the first Test between England and New Zealand and there has been much to admire in the bowling.
But even though England supporters will be delighted that their side should win the first game of their post-Ashes reset โ New Zealand need another 218 runs with seven wickets left and the pitch is getting no easier โ the state of the most scrutinised 22 yards of turf in the world remains a major headache for the wider game.
And, while that remains the case, it will become harder and harder for cricket to justify holding so many of its most important games at Lord's โ such a wonderful venue with such an imperfect stage.

@BCAFCBH@andyb861@claretmaduk@Ohdannyboy77@ECB_cricket Thing is, I have a Yorkshire 4 day membership (any 4 days of cricket all year, good for a Leeds exile ) for ยฃ60 and membership for lads is free - this is a great offering but not promoted well enough.
Like a lot of people, Iโve been disappointed by the state of the Lordโs pitch. That said, atmospheric conditions have also played a big part. Doesnโt everyone say, at Lordโs, look up?
Some people are now saying the pitch is a disgrace.
I would just caution people to think a little bit about the ground staff. Creating a good pitch is trial and error and a very inexact science. Itโs really hard to do well all the time.
Iโve no doubt that the Lordโs ground staff wouldโve absolutely slaved over this pitch in an effort to get it right. Theyโll likely be mortified by the criticism and how things have turned out. So maybe put yourself in their shoes for a second before being too harsh.
A reyt good night up in the Leeds for the Roses T20 @YorkshireCCC
Only slightly let down by the absolute shambles organisation getting folk in and at the bar. They never learn at Headingley
@JackMulhall92@ImpsFocus@StevenageLuca All fun and games when weโre sweeping all comers, but in the trenches, desperate for points next winter, would he be the same asset?
@Cozza84 Guess we are short on time with the works?
Wouldnโt surprise me if weโve requested to be away in the league first game as well (not sure what happens if we are at home in the League Cup on 8th Aug )
