I hope this email is triaged, forgotten, and then you wake up in a panic six weeks later because you haven’t answered it, fall asleep, and answer it two weeks after that.
Should social media be considered a good and viable source? There is much promotion of false claims, but it’s the biggest way we start a conversation. How seriously should we be taking it?
Does where you’re from affect the media you consume? Is this a good or bad thing. Personally, I think the separation is a bad thing. I should be getting the same news back home thay I do here, but it’s more censored up north. #UWJ201 #311
In the last lecture we discussed the hostile media affect. While it can spark good conversation and confrontation with issues, it seems to have a negative affect the people who participate in it. #UWJ201 #311
In today’s lecture we discussed media bias and how it affects the media and those who consume. Is this something that is necessary or is a product of bipartisan issues ? #UWJ201 #311
@teresaahartman I had already owned a chess set but hadn’t touched it in years until this show came out. It’s crazy what we do just because we’ve seen it on tv.
#UWJ201 #311 in the lecture yesterday profwag talked about how heavy tv viewers believed in more traditional roles and I wonder how much of that plays into gender or age groups? Does it lean towards one or the other or does it range across all ages and people?
In the 2/1 lecture, profwag brought up the ‘War of the Worlds’ broadcast and how, even though the broadcast didn’t reach many people, most believed it was a segment. Why are we told that it caused a nationwide panic? What does that say about mass communication?
