The vehicle, refitted and stocked with medical and firefighting equipment, has been held at Israel’s Port of Ashdod for 15 months despite having clearance documents. Israeli authorities have imposed over $21,000 in storage fees, prompting the firefighters, who had campaigned for its release, to consider bringing it back to the UK after talks with the government.
