@roryisconfused The cinema experience has gone from - “would be great to see this in a packed house” to “hope no one else is there” in a decade. BFI held out longer than most, but is lost now for English language films. Art house cinemas on weekday afternoons are the last redoubt.

@nrm1972 Yeah, was just saying to a friend earlier, if before 2016 anyone we knew said that there’s a non-zero chance of a second civil war in the US because a game show host refused to accept he’d lost the presidency, you’d have assumed they were drunk or worse and got them a cab home.

I swear to God the final Wall Street Journal editorial making case for Trump includes this line.
