Agree but does require adequate provision of protection at each Trust. https://t.co/S20pPCcCgJ However we’ve resolved this @StockportNHS by engagement with the @SteppingHillMOT governance team! Also ensure https://t.co/S20pPCcCgJ is included in every resident doctor induction!
Great to see the new @BritOrthopaedic Standard (BOASt) on Assessment and Management of First Time Lateral Patellar Dislocation (FTLPD) produced by @BritishPFSoc on behalf of @baskonline with @BSCOS_UK Another resource to help care for our patients better!

Wes Streeting calls you and asks for *tangible* ideas he can implement to help NHS improve performance. But there's no extra money for big spending. What's your one idea? #FantasyNHS
I'll start - staff passports across regions to free up pointless mandatory training time.
100% Fracture Liaison Service provision - currently 50% in UK. Best efficiency of fracture treatment is prevention of avoidable fragility fractures. @RoyalOsteoPro show service pays several times over. Trying to implement across @NHS_GM @wesstreeting@FF_Network@drphilhammond

An honour and a privilege to have worked with such tremendous people and patients.Loyalty, skill, kindness, dedication, trust, professionalism and humour. Absolutely humbling.

Recognition & thanks due for @LancsHospitals Royal Preston for providing all female orthopods with personal XR protective breast shields. Great to see a NW trust leading change & protecting workforce in response to work from @BritOrthopaedic and @hannah7oaks #12raysofprotection
The response to our announcement has been overwhelming, with an outpouring of support and love for the service. Many people, including current and former patients as well as senior leaders and stakeholders, have shared stories of their experiences with the service and how we have impacted on their health, careers and in many cases saved lives.
On behalf of the team, we would like to thank everyone who has shown their support. It has meant so much to all of us.
We will keep you updated via our website when we know more, but please know that even if we are relatively silent, there are significant amounts of work going on behind the scenes.
