@JakeOlson61 Should Bear be suspended, probably not, he clearly was trying for the ball and his only mistake was not paying attention to the fact that they were on the ground. Should have been unnecessary roughness. Desmond was suspended for his conduct following the hit, not because of it.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@trevorbarnes @gatadata88 @bigten As a duck fan, I agree with this. There needs to be a culling of the fan base of the these front running fans. Who only jumped on because of recent success.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@Dubsn4 Unfortunately, that part of the fan base is the loudest. But true ones will stick through.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@TexasDuck217 I hate the sentiment that Dan hasn’t won anything. I was talking to a guy that said if a coach doesn’t at least appear in or win a title game within the first four seasons at a school then they likely aren’t gonna win one at that spot so they should fire him and move on lol 😆

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@FQDucks In today’s format, I’ll wait a whole decade as long as they are overall consistent in winning games and getting better from year to year. I’m just saying Dan has earned some patience to see how he handles things over the season and into the next.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@FQDucks This is a wild take. NFL ≠ FBS. If an AD feels like he needs to interfere in the hiring of assistant coaches, then that probably signals that friction has formed and Lanning would be heading out. Name a big time HC who lets his coordinators be chosen by the AD?

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@TimTurbotim510 @FQDucks Comparing Dan and Cig is dumb. Dan had to build, from scratch, a staff and players. Cig has been coaching over 3x longer than Dan as HC and had the ability to bring players who had already been playing under him for years. (Cig 152-37/Dan 51-10) they aren’t even close to the same

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@MaddogNews @Old_Chunka_Coal @BIG10Bruin @bigten @uscfb @oregonfootball @CoachDanLanning I haven’t made any excuses. Bear Alexander didn’t aim at punching Nico. He was clearly punching at the ball. Your only point is the fact that Bear didn’t have the awareness that he was already down. Late hit? Yes … Dirty? Not in the slightest.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@MaddogNews @TrojanFBx Looking pretty good. One bad year is not a trajectory. Now if nothing changes and it’s more of the same next year, then you might have cause to let Lanning go.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@Travis_DameS1de I don’t know many Duck fans who are only blaming one thing. They are blaming all the things you’ve mentioned, aside from Dan, who’s earned the right to show how serious he is about keeping. He was quoted as saying there needs to be a reevaluation of especially the offense.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@Travis_DameS1de If you are a fan, You are the kind of fairweather fan that gives real Duck fans a bad name. 1st 4 years: 48-8, gets better every year. Follows with 3-2 start and suddenly you can’t back him anymore. I think Dan earned the chance to see things thru and do whats right if need be

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@MaddogNews @Old_Chunka_Coal @BIG10Bruin @bigten @uscfb @oregonfootball @CoachDanLanning Not even close to the same thing and you know it.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@MaddogNews @BIG10Bruin @bigten @uscfb @oregonfootball @CoachDanLanning Yes, bring up a post game moment from 17 years ago that has nothing to do with the current staff or players. Not to mention that Blount was suspended for the next 10 games after that hit. Seems the MO is Oregon actually holds accountable legit dirty behavior. Bear’s punch wasn’t.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@BIG10Bruin @bigten @uscfb @oregonfootball @CoachDanLanning Read the injury report, moron. Nico suffered a leg/thigh injury. Nothing to do with his neck.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@TimTurbotim510 @FQDucks Thank you. I hate the toxicity CFB fandom these days.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@B1GDuck_ @Jruleoregon I’m curious, why don’t you think Dante returns? I’ll bet $20 he comes back.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@B1GDuck_ @The_UO__ Dan misses for the first time w/his hire(s) and you ready to turn on him. I’d say he’s earned 1 down season and another to prove he can fix it. Frankly, I said this team had a 7-5 floor if one of the hires bombed. The DC is getting better, but the OC is worse w/every game played.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@B1G_Duck_NRG @B1GDuck_ @OspTheOG He won’t take you up on that because he knows it’s hot garbage of a take.

[GMWD @GMWD19802]

@TheBigXIIExp @B1GDuck_ Yeah the part of the fan base that’s only known the winning culture of Oregon football can’t handle it. Boise: “Close, but we’ll roll f/here”; OkSt: “We suck, won’t win anymore”; PtldSt: “Good”; USC: “We back”; UCLA: “Fire Dan and start over if we lose again!” It’s hella annoying
