This is sort of a dumb debate. Social Security isn’t going away and time spent laying out scenarios for that is time wasted. Even if nothing is done to fix it (which won’t occur) the law provides that benefits will be paid to the extent of money coming in (estimate is about 80% of current benefits). I’m not in favor on raising taxes on anyone but that is likely to be at least a part of any solution.
