I love today’s blog post. Happy Birthday to you. I am an 8 year brain cancer survivor and turn 50 on Tuesday. In 2012 when I was diagnosed i didn’t know if I’d see 50. It is a pretty big deal and I look forward to spend time with my family and friends xo @BrainTumourFdn
@BCCancer Arrive early so you aren’t rushed to find parking! Once parked we would get a drink in Cafe and sit and relax before appointment. Continued doing this for every appointment. Stressful time already so we never wanted to arrive frazzled
We’re not out of the woods yet. COVID-19 remains a serious health threat. Even as the weather gets nicer, we need to follow public health rules - or we risk losing the progress we’ve made. So wash your hands, keep two metres apart from others, and protect our front line workers.
Brain tumour signs and symptoms can be different for everyone.
We recently asked brain tumour patients and caregivers what signs and symptoms they or their loved ones had before being diagnosed. During #BrainTumourAwarenessMonth, we will share their experiences.

"We have to recognize that there is no risk-free way of living with a novel virus. As we muddle out of lockdown, the lines drawn in the sand will be imperfect, but they must be perceived as reasonable and fair." @picardonhealth Balanced + way forward thinking. Thank you!
To all the moms and dads out there: This means that your monthly CCB payments will go up this July to help you pay for things like food, clothes, and activities you and your family can do together at home. And next week, you’ll get an extra one-time payment of $300 per child.
The Canada Child Benefit is helping parents make ends meet, lifting kids out of poverty, and building a better future for our young people. And during this uncertain time, families across the country are counting on this benefit more than ever. So we’re going to increase it.
I am an 8 year survivor of a malignant brain tumour and a 3 year survivor of a non malignant Meningioma that I didn’t know I had until last week ! #cure#awareness
