In recent times, it's becoming addictive. Any time I have something to do on the phone, once I'm done, it's X straight to check updates.

Sometimes I even forget what I picked up the phone for and find myself in X before I eventually realize what took me to the phone. Which usually, is work or business affairs.

I guess the monetization frenzy is another factor propelling the motion.
