"These papers clearly invite us to step forward into a new way of supporting people w/ #Downsyndrome to live their best lives. The papers urge us to design healthcare with people w/ DS, to meet their needs pro-actively & to integrate the evidence base"
Not only is Putin destroying Ukrainian homes, schools, hospitals and energy infrastructure.
He's also stealing Ukraine's children.
The forced deportation of nearly 20,000 Ukrainian children to Russia shows his barbarism knows no bounds.
This is a war crime.
Under the direction of President Vladimir Putin, groups of children were taken from Ukraine and brought to Russia for placement. These children have been taken to at least 21 regions throughout Russia. The majority, if not all, are believed to have been made Russian citizens.

@UofTNews@uoftmedicine Important research that can't be done fast enough for those diagnosed. Are there any studies/trials looking for participants? Asking of a dear friend of mine.
@Newsweek this is so typical of kremlin... first they invade and ravage a country (in the most recent case Ukraine), then they talk about decency π€₯growing up in soviet Ukraine, I remember very well how everything was blamed on the immoral decadent West... it hasn't changed a bit.
Trump, a would-be autocrat, using Orban, an actual autocrat, as a character reference is too perfect. As with his praise for Xi and Putin as "strong," his naked envy of their unaccountable power is one of his few sincere expressions.
@ScienceAlert "The fact that neuronal integrity breakdown was slowed in ppl randomized to omega-3 treatment who are also at high risk for #Alzheimers is remarkable, AND warrants a larger clinical trial in more DIVERSE populations," says neurologist.

@picardonhealth welcoming people w/ disabilities into the workforce is a win indeed; building up the mindset by welcoming children to inclusive classrooms, sports and recreation are important parts of the process.
@VL_konona@FT@NATO Politics, I guess, and the fear of negotiating w/ the aggressor who didn't stop in 2014 and unlikely to stop in 2024 at the territories he invaded, aka "liberated"
100% agree on the world class issues...Sadly political violence is one of them...
Family members of students w/ disabilities are frustrated by Edmonton school board's plan to build 25 more seclusion rooms in the face of a promise to phase them out. These rooms are being used to involuntarily and unjustly seclude students. @InclusionAB
