He chooses to pay some other guy to do it, so that he doesn’t have to. He pays him what it seems reasonable to him and the CEO. It’s no one’s else call. Not yours.

She is Dr. Aida Rostami, a 36-year-old Iranian physician who was secretly treating wounded protesters in Tehran's Ekbatan neighborhood and other western districts during the nationwide Woman, Life, Freedom uprising sparked by Mahsa Amini's death in custody.

After tending to several injured people and realizing she needed more supplies like sterile gauze, she left to buy them. She called her mother from Chamran Hospital earlier that evening, asking if she needed anything on her way home. She never arrived.

The next day, police contacted her family claiming she had died in a "car accident" (some reports mention a fall from a bridge or overpass). They directed the family to collect her body from the forensics office.

What they found instead was undeniable evidence of extreme brutality: a smashed face, broken arms/hands, fractured shoulders, severe bruising on the lower torso (with some accounts indicating signs of sexual assault), and her left eye completely enucleated (gouged out).

The official forensics report vaguely cited death from being "hit by a hard object," but medical examiners reportedly told the family privately that they had been ordered to conceal the real cause that she had been tortured and killed by security forces.

To my socialist friends:

Nothing is stopping you (other than the inevitable failure) from opening a store or a manufacturing company owned by the workers.

Get 20 of you together and do it.

Good luck getting everyone to show up. Good luck splitting the bill once even a single person appears to not to be doing their equal amount of labor.

And, just imagine you took out a loan to buy a million dollars of machinery and property to establish the company. And imagine you agree you all will pay $50k for those “means of production”. Now imagine just 2 of the 20 of you says “I want to write a book, not do this.” and they walk away.
Who is responsible for the $100k they will not be paying?
It’s easy to say “well we’d each take on $5,555!”
But what about the guy that worked harder… who puts in more hours? Do you think he’ll be just dandy with that?

Of course not.

There’s a reason it’s failed over and over. Resentment isn’t just for those who have less. It’s as equally distributed among those who work harder.

Equality doesn’t work because none of us are equals.

GIRL BURNED TO DEATH AT HOME IN BE'ERI

Her name was Liel Vinai Hezroni, and she lived with her twin brother in Kibbutz Be'eri in Israel, one of the worst hit villages in the October 7th terror attack on Israel.

The twins were just 12.

There was no bodies to bury, according to Times of Israel. Nothing but ashes.

Instead, personal items like stuffed animals that belonged to her were buried in her place.

She was the first victim of 10/7 I learned about, and to honor her, I took her name Liel as part of my Hebrew name when I converted to Judaism.

Liel was living with her aunt and grandfather at the time, both of whom also died when Hamas grenade bombed their home.

She would be 15 this year. She would be entering high-school, maybe planning for her time in the IDF or making plans for travel or college.

But her life was cut short.

Why?

Because she was Jewish.
