Hard truths about @privateLP - secretum est omnibus 💭

‘Any 'free' society is built on a foundation of truly anonymous communication and transaction. The ability to own the information one produces entirely without fear of scrutiny or restriction can be defined as freedom’.
This is taken directly from the first line of the $DARK protocol Manifesto for Digital Privacy Rights which can be found on the site and is really worth a read.

The final line of the manifesto concludes, in order for there to be a truly free and fair society ‘privacy must be an immutable right’.

‘A broader human effort to create immutable digital privacy rights we invite and encourage everyone to build on top of the ideas we have presented. To adopt dark protocol and to join its community, to help build the future you want to live in - Where privacy is an immutable right’.
Why is the price of $DARK currently down from the highs? The reasons are many but here are some thoughts:

At a macro level view, in general, overall crypto markets have been pretty much up only since the beginning of 2023 (only 2 negative candles of 15 on the monthly $BTC chart) and random meme coins are pumping 100x before dumping to dust again.
Many people’s attention is scattered everywhere and anywhere but privacy. I still hear people say isn’t privacy a bit of a meme in 2024?

Well actually no, just because you yourself might not care it doesn’t mean the many of the worlds wealthiest, most influential and most powerful people also don’t care about privacy…

One Forbes article from 2013 found that ‘around the world the extremely wealthy have accumulated at least $21 trillion in secretive offshore accounts’. See some more recent numbers at around $50 trillion ++ US Dollars.

But no one really knows. Who owns it, where it came from, how it was ‘earned’, who is transacting with who, when and of what quantity.

In 2022 Global GPD was reported at $101 trillion. So just to ball park for arguments sake here, we are looking at half of the global GDP being held and transacted privately in offshore accounts / havens and you still want to try and tell another that privacy doesn’t matter?
$DARK will have its day (again). Privacy on Solana is almost here (pending upgrades to the network amongst some other factors or constraints) and it is going to take a whole lot of people by surprise when it does.

One thing I’m quite sure about is that there will be a great deal more people who will be interested in privacy towards the end of this cycle, especially with Bitcoin pushing 6 figs and Solana of course going to $420 ++

Looking forward to seeing how @ZKVerseNFT mintfi and game Z releases go as well as how dark protocol is intertwinned.

But for now remember, there will only ever be 21 million $DARK tokens and it is a secret to all…
