Poles are furious with the police over their slow response to a brutal attack on a random Polish man in Warsaw. After a video of the incident went viral, police issued a statement confirming they were aware of the attack.

Public anger has grown because ordinary citizens, not the police, managed to find the suspect’s social media accounts and hand over the information, including his photos. Under Polish law, authorities can request data from social media platforms and internet providers to help identify and locate a suspect, yet the man remains at large, and it is still unclear whether police have even identified him.

Many have also pointed out that the individual seen speaking with the victim just before the assault may have been involved in the attack. His calm behavior afterward, showing no apparent shock or distress and making no attempt to help the victim, has fueled those suspicions.

One video from the suspect’s account, obtained before he made the profile private, shows him smiling and flexing his muscles while training in boxing.
