@SCTMeadSundays No that’s a fair point. Myself and a guy I work with were just having this conversation and he made that point. You guys do get a lot more rain. When I watch games it’s either a beautiful sunny day over there or a torrential downpour
@SteeloCity I’m not sure if you did. My point is that year after year I keep hearing that Greg Brown is racist. I’ve been listening to him since I was a kid. He loved Josh Harrison, he loved Russell Martin, Liriano, Al Martin, Aramis Ramirez, Pedro Alvarez, the list goes on.
@dccommonsense I am always sad when young Americans complain about their country. I always assume they don’t have a good understanding of their country’s history as compared to most of the rest of the world. I’m also very proud our athletes feel they can speak out when they feel it is needed.
In 1945, two MPs “interrogate” a couple of German grade school children who were pressed into military service as the war came to a close.
In general, any German “soldier” under 17 was briefly interrogated and then allowed to return home.
@KevinCastley Seems to me Capitalism has really done wonders for the world, especially since 1990. I wonder what system collapsed around that time that helped spur the growth?
@martyrmade I’ll listen as I always do because I enjoy your podcasts. But one of the fundamental lessons of history is there are consequences to starting/getting involved in wars you can’t or don’t win. I knew too many older guys in my childhood that fought over there. Piss on em’
