Members of @unisontheunion are protesting at the UEA today, after the university announced redundancies will be needed to cut costs.
I've been looking into the situation - what IS going on at the UEA?

@uniofeastanglia have confirmed that 113 redundancies are needed to address £30m debt. This includes 36 academics.
Deputy VC Christine Bovis-Cnossen says aim is to achieve number through voluntary redundancy but "compulsory redundancy remains the last resort."
