Moment Peter and Paul were asked what their greatest fear was.
Peter’s response broke my heart. 💔
He said:
“My greatest fear is… what if we split up like the other groups tomorrow?
Thank you PSQUARE for the childhood memories. We know they'll never be PSQUARE again but you'll forever remain in our hearts.
Remain blessed in your future endeavors 🙏
Cynthia Morgan she signed a 4 year contract with Jude Okoye's Northside Inc. Things got messy even before her contract ended but she refused to discuss the Psquare brothers issues with her management.
She recounted how Peter approached her before signing with Jude, a decision she now regrets. To date, she claims she hasn't been paid any royalty from her music

Why was the company not owned by P-Square and the trio signatory?
Why just Jude and his wife?
Jude saying he has “handed the matter over to God” is a classic Nigerian religious response people often resort to when they’re losing an argument or don’t want to address the issues being raised.
The conversation is about the finances of
P-Square. It is about accountability, transparency, and the management of money. Those are factual questions that deserve factual answers.
Please leave God out of this matter and respond to the questions that have been asked regarding P-Square’s finances. Faith should not be used to avoid legitimate questions about financial management.
I am sure God sef will be like “From where to where? Abeg o”
Lastly stop bringing the word family into this conversation, treat the trio as business partners, and stand on Business.

As manager, he negotiated performance fees, handled bookings, supervised projects, prepared budgets, hired crew members, approved payments, and oversaw the financial side of the brand.
If that was indeed the structure, there were very few or no internal checks and balances because the person negotiating deals was also the person executing them. Whatever figure was communicated to the artists would naturally be accepted as the agreed amount.
Back then, P-Square produced some of the most expensive and visually impressive music videos in Africa.
They featured luxury cars, exotic locations, elaborate sets, and high production values that still stand the test of time.
Who funded those videos? P-Square.
Who prepared the budgets, hired the crew, and paid the crew? Jude, as manager.
This concentration of responsibilities is why transparency later became such a major issue.
THE NORTHSIDE COMPANIES
Northside Entertainment was P-Square’s original company.
Later came Northside Inc., which Jude publicly described as his personal company.
Then there was Northside Music, a company Peter has publicly claimed he knew nothing about and, according to him, one for which he was not even a signatory.
This naturally raises questions.
What was the purpose of Northside Music when Northside Entertainment already existed as the official company behind P-Square and Northside Inc. already existed as Jude’s personal company?
Who exactly was signed to Northside Music?
What legitimate business activities generated revenue into that account?
HOW AN ALLEGED FINANCIAL FRAUD COULD WORK
To understand why the issue became controversial, imagine a purely hypothetical scenario.
A client wants to book P-Square.
The manager(Jude) negotiates a performance fee of ₦100 million.
Since the Manager controls the negotiations, the client simply pays into whichever account is provided. The client has no reason to question whether it is Northside Entertainment, Northside Inc., or Northside Music after all na Jude(manager) the client talk to.
The manager could then tell the artists that the performance fee was ₦60 million rather than ₦100 million. Since the artists were not involved in the negotiations, they would have little or no basis for challenging that figure.
If such a structure existed without proper transparency or independent oversight, it could theoretically create an opportunity for financial misconduct.
This is not an allegation that it happened.
It is simply an illustration of why transparent accounting and proper checks and balances are important in any business where one person controls negotiations, payments, and disbursements.
Unless another party independently verified every booking, payment, and bank account used, discrepancies would be difficult to detect.
THE EFCC CASE
The EFCC investigated the matter and subsequently filed charges in court because they saw something!
Whether those charges are ultimately proven is for the court to determine.
The case is between the Government and Jude, and only the court can decide the facts after considering the evidence presented by both sides.
CONCLUSION
In my opinion Jude is the problem here.
He successfully pitched the twins against each other according to Peter while still making money as the manager of the brand.
Divide and conquer at its finest.
Peter is the victim because he is the one against two people, one of them his twin.
From Peter’s public account, he believes he was betrayed because he said he had limited visibility into aspects of the financial structure while business decisions were concentrated in the hands of Jude.
When next this conversation comes up, ask:
What was the purpose of Northside Music if Jude had already registered what he called his personal company, Northside Inc.?
Who has Northside Music signed?
What business activities generated revenue into that account?
If the intent was genuine why use similar name to the official name of the twins’ label?

P-SQUARE BEFORE JUDE OKOYE
P-Square was previously managed by Chioma Ugochi, who managed them during their secondary school and university days.
Then came Bayo “Howie T” Odusami from 2001 to 2005. He took over after
P-Square won the Benson & Hedges Grab Da Mic competition and played a pivotal role in transforming them from an emerging duo into one of Nigerias fastest-rising music acts.
Under Howie T’s management, P-Square released their first two studio albums, Last Nite (2003) and Get Squared (2005). He secured the Benson & Hedges backing that helped launch their debut album, guided them to early industry recognition, including an Amen Award for Best R&B Group and a KORA Awards nomination for Most Promising African Group, facilitated their transition to Square Records, and worked with TJoe Enterprises to achieve nationwide distribution for Get Squared.
The album’s videos also spent four consecutive weeks at No. 1 on MTV Base. And you and I know MTV Base was very massive for artistes then.
During this period, P-Square released some of their earliest hit songs, including Senorita, Igbedu, Bizzy Body, Temptation, Omoge Mi, Say Your Love, Oga Police, and Story etc, while establishing themselves as one of Nigeria’s leading live performers with growing recognition across West and Southern Africa.
P-Square shared stages with international stars such as Ginuwine, Sean Paul, and Akon.
In 2001 to 2005, who never blow dey share stage with Akon and Sean Paul?
They were already blown, shutting down shows across Africa.
Then P-Square briefly managed their own affairs after Howie T’s exit before handing management over to their elder brother, Jude Okoye in 2005.
So that narrative that Jude made P-Square should die a sudden deth this minute.
TALENT
Back when P-Square were hot, breakdancing was a major thing, and people loved the P-Square brand because of their dancing. Peter led that niche.
He was handsome, and his resemblance to Usher, who was also known for dancing, expanded their fan base even more because women loved P-Square for obvious reasons.
Paul was considered less attractive compared to Peter at the time, and people were always feeling sorry for Paul because Peter was getting all the attention back then.
Peter inspired the breakdancing craze in Nigeria because he was the closest thing to Michael Jackson we could see.
So that “he was less talented” talk na kids una go tell that rubbish.
Peter was P-Square, and regardless of your bias, you know it’s the truth.
PETER’S MENTAL HEALTH
Do you know what it feels like to be betrayed by a friend you trust and love so much?
Talk more of your brother, and then your twin brother.
Peter loves Paul, and even in the videos he’s been dropping, you can see how he tries to protect Paul because, deep down, he loves him.
Peter married one of the hottest girls at the time, Lola.
Then came the media narrative that his wife controls him because she was older than him.
Whenever Peter came out to defend his wife, people would say, “We said it.”
Peter became a stranger to his own brothers and, worse still, whenever he spoke out, they pinned it on his wife controlling him.
Naah! that guy suffered abeg!
MEDIA IS POWER
Every PR decision for P-Square went through Jude. He approved or disapproved things at will, without any checks and balances.
So he could speak in favour of Paul and not Peter. He could attribute the group’s success to Paul.
Before social media, everything about the brand went through one person, the manager. In this case, that person was Jude.
This is why so many artistes who were doing well under a label fade off when they break from their labels.
The reason is simple, they don’t have the media reach of the label, regardless of the talent they possess.
MANAGING P-SQUARE, MONEY & THE EFCC
Jude reportedly ran virtually every aspect of P-Square’s business, from negotiations to execution.
