🧠BET SMARTER
🇨🇳 ATP Shanghai. Tommy Paul - Zizou Bergs
🇺🇸 Tommy Paul -2.5 @ 1.71
I’m going with Paul here after what he has shown in his first two matches in Shanghai.
He beat Vallejo 6-2, 6-2 and then produced an even more impressive performance against defending champion Vacherot, winning 6-4, 6-2. His return has looked particularly strong, and that should be very important in this matchup.
Bergs deserves a lot of credit for the win over Alcaraz. I don’t want to dismiss that result as a fluke because he played a genuinely strong match.
At the same time, coming back after the biggest win of your career and immediately reproducing the same level is never easy.
Paul is a much more stable opponent from the baseline, he returns very well and should force Bergs to play a lot more balls than Alcaraz did in that match.
I expect Paul to create enough pressure on return and have the more consistent level over the full match.
📊 Pick: Tommy Paul -2.5

🇨🇳 ATP Shanghai. Casper Ruud - Felix Auger-Aliassime
🇳🇴 Casper Ruud ML @ 2.22
Ruud has looked really strong in Shanghai so far.
He came through both Bu and Tien in straight sets, and I’ve liked the level he has shown in both matches. He has been solid from the baseline, moving well and, most importantly, playing with much more stability than we saw from him before this tournament.
Felix, on the other hand, has already had to work extremely hard in both of his matches here. He needed three sets against Ugo Carabelli and another three against Carreno Busta, and before Shanghai he also lost in straight sets to Khachanov in Beijing.
Of course, Felix is always dangerous on a fast hard court with his serve and first-strike tennis, so I don’t see this as an easy matchup at all.
But based on what both players have shown in Shanghai, I think Ruud is being underestimated at this price. At 2.22, I’m happy to take the value.
📊 Pick: Casper Ruud ML

🇨🇳 ATP Shanghai. Alexander Zverev - Alexander Bublik
🇰🇿 Alexander Bublik +1.5 sets @ 1.74
This matchup has always been interesting for Bublik.
He leads the H2H 3-1, and that is not something I want to ignore. Zverev has had similar problems before against players who don’t give him a comfortable rhythm, serve big and constantly shorten the points.
Shanghai should help Bublik do exactly that. His serve is a major weapon in these conditions, and if he keeps his service games under control, he only needs one strong return game or one good tie-break to take a set.
Zverev already dropped a set to Halys here, so he has not looked completely untouchable. Bublik is more than capable of creating the same kind of pressure, especially considering how well this matchup has worked for him historically.
I don’t need Bublik to win the match here. One set is enough.
📊 Pick: Alexander Bublik +1.5 sets

🇨🇳 ATP Shanghai. Hubert Hurkacz - Alejandro Davidovich Fokina
🇪🇸 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina ML @ 1.97
I’m backing Fokina here mainly because of the level he has shown throughout this Asian swing.
He won the title in Chengdu, and the most important detail is that he beat Hurkacz himself in that final, 6-4, 7-6. So we already have a very recent example of Alejandro handling exactly this matchup in similar conditions.
He has carried that form into Shanghai as well. The win over Tiafoe was especially impressive because Frances made that match extremely difficult, but Fokina still found a way through three tight sets.
Hurkacz is obviously dangerous with his serve, especially in Shanghai, but Fokina has already shown that he can absorb that pressure and still create chances on return.
At 1.97, I’m happy to back the player who has been producing the better tennis lately and already solved this matchup just a couple of weeks ago.
📊 Pick: Alejandro Davidovich Fokina ML

A lot of new people have followed the account lately, and I’ve seen a huge increase in activity under the posts, so I just wanted to say welcome to GOD BLESS BETS ❤️

This account isn’t even a month old yet, and I’m still just getting started. I’m motivated to keep improving, keep building this page and keep putting out the best work I can.
Today was a rough day, no point pretending otherwise. There were a lot of upsets that I think most people would never have expected. Alcaraz losing to Bergs, Fils losing to Botic, these are simply not the kind of results you normally expect from those matchups.
Even on a bad day, though, I was still able to find my bet of the day, and that win successfully covered the two losses on Tien and Vacherot.
One bad day is only one part of the journey. The long run will tell the real story.

🎾 ATP Shanghai. Tommy Paul - Valentin Vacherot
🇲🇨 Valentin Vacherot win @ 2.22
I really like the value on Vacherot here.
His preparation for Shanghai has been excellent. In Tokyo he put together a very strong run, beating Blockx, Tsitsipas and Fils before reaching the semifinals. Then he came to Shanghai and continued at the same level, beating Baez in straight sets.
That matters even more because Vacherot is defending his title here. He has a huge number of ranking points to protect, so this is not a tournament where an early exit means nothing to him.
Paul is obviously a dangerous opponent and his win over Vallejo was very convincing, but his recent level has not been especially consistent. Vacherot, on the other hand, has been playing with confidence for two straight weeks and these Shanghai conditions suit his serve and first-strike tennis very well.
At 2.22, I think the price is too big for a player who is in this kind of form and has so much to play for here.
📊 Pick: Valentin Vacherot win

🎾 ATP Shanghai. Daniil Medvedev - Dalibor Svrcina
🇷🇺 Under 20.5 @ 1.70
🔥 BET OF THE DAY
Medvedev is playing some of his best tennis of this Asian swing right now. His serve has become much more reliable again, but the biggest difference for me is the pressure he is creating on return. He is getting into opponents’ service games constantly and making them work for almost every point.
That is a very difficult matchup for Svrcina. Dalibor can compete well from the baseline and fight through long rallies, but he does not have the kind of serve that can give him many free points against a returner like Medvedev.
We have also already seen this matchup in Shanghai before, and that one ended 6-1, 6-1 for Daniil. I don’t expect the score to necessarily be that extreme again, but the matchup still looks very one-sided to me.
Medvedev should be able to break early in both sets and keep the match under control. I prefer the total here because even something like 6-3, 6-4 is enough.
📊 Pick: Under 20.5

🎾 ATP Shanghai. Learner Tien - Casper Ruud
🇺🇸 Learner Tien win @ 1.68
I like Tien in this matchup.
He continues to look very comfortable on hard courts, and I think his game is becoming more complete. The serve is improving, while his return has already been one of the strongest parts of his game for a while. He reads the serve well, gets into a lot of return games and can put pressure on opponents without needing them to play badly.
Ruud is obviously the more experienced player, but I still don’t really trust his level on hard courts this season. He can produce good matches, but overall he hasn’t looked nearly as convincing on this surface as he does on clay.
Tien looks sharper to me right now, and I think his return game can make this a very uncomfortable matchup for Casper.
📊 Pick: Learner Tien win
