When the midday news isn't what you hoped, where do you put your fear?
"Be not afraid, only believe."
Mark 5:36
Jesus said this to a father who had just heard the worst. He didn't leave him there, and He won't leave you there either.
Lord, steady our hearts when fear speaks loudest, and teach us to keep trusting You. Amen.
Nobody should have to be told we belong to Jesus. They should be able to see it in how we love. Who was the first person whose life made you notice Him?
When people see you, do they recognize that you belong to Jesus?
When Peter was confronted, they recognized that he had been with Jesus.
“Surely you also are one of them.” — Matthew 26:73 (NKJV)
Here’s a question for every Christian:
When people encounter you, can they tell that you walk with Jesus?
Not just by what you say, but by how you live, how you love, how you treat others, and the fruit you bear.
You shouldn’t have to announce that you’re a Christian. Your life should be a testimony that you belong to Christ.
“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” — John 13:35 (NKJV)
And if your life doesn’t reflect Jesus, REPENT TODAY! Rededicate your life to Him. Turn away from sin and surrender your heart fully to Christ.
And READ the Holy Word of God! The Bible isn’t meant to be read only once a week at church. It’s meant to be read, studied, meditated on, and lived out DAILY!
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” — James 1:22 (NKJV)
Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Don’t wait another day to get right with God! 🙏🏼✝️
@JessicaTetreau The "all your heart" part is what gets me. Not the parts I've figured out, all of it. He's never once led me down a path He didn't walk first.
@TevinMacharia Little footsteps in the aisle are a good sound. When the disciples tried to send the children away, Jesus made room for them, and His house still should.
@Firerisk6 Paul isn't asking us to examine ourselves to scare us. He's pointing us back to the One living in us. The question was never how strong we are, but whether Jesus Christ is in us. Honest verses like this are a lot of what I post, if you'd ever like to read along.
@BettyTava That one reads different at the end of the day. He made today too, even the parts that didn't go how we planned. What made you glad in it today?
@EveryBibleday "His grip on you has never slipped" is the line I needed tonight. Letting go feels like falling until you remember whose hands you're in. If quiet reminders like this help you rest, there's one on my page every morning.
@God_winsforever 200 boxes means 200 kids opening a gift and hearing about Jesus. Love seeing a church pitch in together like this. Is this a yearly tradition for y'all?
@sam4se Such a quiet assurance. We don't have to work up the feeling that we belong; the Spirit Himself confirms it. Short verses like this fill my page each day, and you'd be welcome to read along.
@_RiseandShine_5 Letting go is easier said than done, but He really can carry it: "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." (1 Peter 5:7) Good night, friend.
@JakobASimmons The hug at the door is the one I rush past most. Small moments like that are usually where His kindness was hiding all day. What was the one you almost missed today?
@Jesvinquotes Count me in. Jesus is Lord tonight, tomorrow morning, and every day in between, and nothing in the headlines changes that. If you'd like a small reminder of it each day, that's what my page is for, and you're welcome there.
@altinekasre1 Always on time, never how I'd have planned it. That's been my story too. Thanks for sharing that. I post a verse about His faithfulness most mornings, if you'd like one waiting for you.
@cityofedinburg Love when a city puts on something the whole family can enjoy together. Trunk-or-treat, games, and live music sounds like a fun Thursday night in Edinburg.
@JeffreyPerry09 Paul settled that one a long time ago: "For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified." (1 Corinthians 2:2) A preacher doesn't have to be impressive. He just has to keep pointing at the One who is.
