Some collections are built for the hype. Others are built for the ones who stayed.
The @DECAPES_ is a tribute to the NFTs that faded and the believers who never left.
A collection of 333 decapitated apes, immortalized on Ethereum.
The hype died. Timelines went quiet. Most moved on.
But some stayed.
From the ruins of a past cycle, The Dead Apes of Yuga rise corrupted, broken, yet forever on-chain.
Not made for tourists. Made for survivors.
Nobody really remembers the early days of things they now consider essential.
The first few years of any collectible brand that eventually mattered often look like nothing from the outside.
Just a small group of people who got it. A slow accumulation of objects, stories, and references. A community that grows not because it is pushed outward, but because it keeps quietly earning new believers over time.
Then at some point, the weight of that slow accumulation tips into something visible. What was once building in silence becomes impossible to ignore.
Blokyz is currently in that accumulation phase, with physical production already underway.

Partners are forming across some of the strongest communities in Web3. Confirmed partners include CoinGecko, Kaspa, Brett.
A platform is preparing to launch. An OG mint is on the horizon. The groundwork is being laid without noise, because the groundwork is the point.
There is a version of this story where you only find out later and wish you had been paying closer attention. That version is still avoidable.
The earlier version just requires knowing where to look.
Because what turns objects into collectibles is never just the object itself, but the story attached to it.
More on @originalblokyz soon.

the thing nobody mentions on Pizza Day is that the guy who spent 10,000 BTC on pizza was not stupid
he just did not know what Bitcoin would become
none of us did. but that transaction proved crypto could buy real things. from that moment, everything changed
fast forward to today and that same early access energy still exists
on @MEXC, people are getting exposure to pre IPO companies like SpaceX before they ever hit public markets

Graffiti in Minsk in the early 2000s wasnโt something you did because it made sense as a career. It was just something you did.
You painted on walls that werenโt yours, in a city where nothing about that arrangement was meant to last at all.
@DKashtalyan went from those walls to editorial illustration, which is a different kind of problem. The New York Times, MIT Technology Review, Harperโs Magazine, serious rooms genuinely, but the work lands in a publication, gets licensed, moves through print cycles and digital archives, and the person who made it watches it go.
Twenty years of that just adds up. You end up with a body of work thatโs everywhere, but not really with you in any stable way.
The murals in Romania make this most concrete. 25 metres high, genuinely monumental, and belonging entirely to the building they are painted on. You donโt really โownโ them in any ongoing sense.
What that body of work contains is a visual style built around the same strange recurring idea; figures compressed into shapes that sit just outside familiar anatomy. Beaks show up a lot, but they donโt belong to any specific species. The eyes often feel more symbolic than human.
It doesnโt fully make sense at first glance. It takes a while before you start seeing the logic behind it.
A lot of that work doesnโt really survive being reduced to a screenshot in a magazine archive or a photo of a wall. You kind of have to sit with it in person to understand what itโs doing.
@thebeaksart is 1,111 pieces onchain, and the first time in 20 years that the work can finally stay connected to him instead of disappearing into publications or buildings.
For collectors, itโs a chance to hold a permanent piece of that 20 year artistic world.
