Letโs talk about Cheddarโs finances. Not the drama. The numbers. ๐
THE DEBT:
Cola Holdings won a judgment of US$14.9 million against Kensington Residential Partners 1 Limited in the UK High Court on January 23, 2025. With accumulated interest the total liability has exceeded US$16 million.
At current exchange rates that is approximately GHโต240 million.
THE ASSETS:
Estimated net worth: $1.2 billion
Kwarleyz Group โ 5 subsidiaries covering real estate development, construction, property management and investment
Over 500 residential and rental units developed in Ghana
No. 1 Oxford Street Hotel โ Osu, Accra (now under receivership)
Kwarleyz Residences โ Accra
Bel Air mansion โ Los Angeles (reportedly $7M)
Properties in UK and Dubai
THE MATH:
A man reportedly worth $1.2 billion is losing a hotel over a $16 million debt.
That is 1.3% of his estimated net worth.
THE LESSON:
Net worth and liquidity are two completely different things. You can be worth billions on paper and still lose assets to debt if your cash flow is mismanaged.
The richest people in the world have lost assets not because they were broke โ but because cash was tied up in other places when the bill came due.
This is why financial discipline is not just for the poor. It is for everyone.
DYOR. All figures from verified court records and credible media sources.
JUST IN: Management of Oxford No. 1 Hotel has rejected reports that the property has been taken over by a court-appointed Receiver, insisting the hotel remains under the possession and control of Kensington Residential Partners 1 Limited.

People are asking โ can Cheddar pay off this debt? ๐ค
Kwarleyz Group โ his conglomerate with 5 subsidiaries:
๐ข Wonda World Estates
๐ข Petronia City Construction
๐ข Belfast City & Property Management
๐ข New Africa Construction
๐ข Capital Nine Zero Fund
Properties reportedly owned:
๐ No. 1 Oxford Street Hotel โ Osu, Accra (the subject of the dispute)
๐ Kwarleyz Residences โ Accra
๐ 500+ residential & rental units in Ghana
๐ Bel Air mansion โ Los Angeles (reportedly $7M)
๐ Properties in UK and Dubai
Estimated net worth: $1.2 billion
On paper, a man with this portfolio should have no problem settling a debt that led to losing one hotel.
But here is the reality of business:
Net worth and cash flow are two completely different things.
You can be worth billions on paper and still struggle with liquidity.
Assets donโt pay debts. Cash does.
This is a lesson every entrepreneur and investor in Ghana must learn.
Build assets. But never neglect your cash flow.
A court in UK will never be fair to a black man.
Foreign courts have been bullying us lately
First Abu, then Ken Ofori Attah now cheddar.
We need to be judicially strong as a nation
๐จ๐ฒJust in: Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar) @OsagyefoNKB has released a statement about the ongoing going saga about his No 1. Oxford street Building. He denies thereโs no change of ownership and the building still remains in his control.
According to Nana Kwame Bediako well known as Cheddar, he was never shying away from paying the debt he jointly owed back in the UK ๐ฌ๐ง.
It must be established that the takeover of his No. 1 Oxford Streets Hotel and Suites are part of steps the Courts in both UK and Ghana have taken to back the investor company known as Cola Holding Limited headed by the Cola Family to get back their monies owed by KWARLEYZ Group owned by Cheddar.
The amount involved is in the Tune of US$14.9 million per my findings
Note: Cola Holdings Limited is a UK ๐ฌ๐ง registered private company involved in hotels and accommodation
