The more time I spend reading about the past, the more I get this feeling that everything in the modern day is fake in some way. Not physically so like The Matrix or something, more so that human beings have all become actors in a script instead of individual agents.
@IsaiahINBI Honestly the only western published comic I've heard of(that isn't marvel or DC) is a series called Brody's Ghost, and I only heard of that because I watched the author's youtube tutorials. A lot of that market share has been eaten by the nips.
@IsaiahINBI Krieg can go either way and be lore accurate tbh. If you're at all a fan of strategy games I recommend pirating the codex and reading the core rules and just finding what looks cool. A lot of the Guard tanks are some of the most sick looking things in the setting.
@IsaiahINBI So do you just have to have a dedicated comic shop near you 🤔
I have wanted to try more American comics before but none of them really seem to be famous and I don't hear about them anywhere.
@IsaiahINBI I see. Can you at least pick them up at like Barnes and Noble or do you have to get even more obscure?
Yeah Kriegers are very 40k without a doubt. Do you think you'd more enjoy playing the horde style or going mostly tanks?
@IsaiahINBI Are there many western comics still physically coming out monthly? 🤔 Collecting them sounds engaging at least.
Yeah, Warhammer is definitely expensive T_T and horde armies even more so, but the Death Korps is nice and iconic.
@ArchonSam Maybe this only matters to me cuz I'm a little zoom zoom who just started getting into the hobby but I like that it's an example of them being willing to make a story not primarily about first founding chapters
@right_inthe_mid Like for example even CS Lewis complains of people in his day idolizing famous gangsters because of their power and whatnot, but at the same time back in the day in Hollywood it was far rarer for anyone to know their politics, interviews and stuff like that was more scripted.
@right_inthe_mid Well it's... eh, I say that largely for dramatic effect, but celebrities have always been bad influences. Rich powerful people often do bad stuff, but there is an effect of mass media making people more aware of it and theoretically making it more normalized.
