Did you know it was the slippery eel Gianni Infantino who got City off their UEFA case in 2014?
I’m writing a 3 part series on the whole sordid Man City Charade. Click the link for part one of…
Nothing To See Here: Inside Man City’s Culture of Lies.

@themagic_tophat And this is the case even after a decade of dominance.
So how, in the first year Pep won the title, were they dwarfing the biggest clubs’ sponsorship valuations I wonder?
There’s one sponsor they couldn’t get from Abu Dhabi. Shirt manufacturer.
🤔
@FPL_Harry Makes no sense. If it touches no defender or goalkeeper and goes in it goes down as his goal. Shot or cross makes no difference.
Unless there’s some obscure rule I’m missing.
@DiffKnock They got off in 2014 because Infantino was uefa general secretary and a slippery eel who “betrayed his own organisation”.
Auditors found their deal was 80x market value. He let them keep it if they paid a €20m fine and presumably suck his toes a bit.

@themagic_tophat Do you know actually who has been let go?
I’m not doubting what you say, past my general experience that people who are really brilliant or important culturally etc are rarely the ones given redundancy.
Not saying it’s not sad of course. And you may know different.
To know Man City’s true commercial value during the cheating years, a good place to start is the deals with kit manufacturers.
No Abu Dhabi companies manufactured kits. Sports brands only pay for genuine market value.
In 2017/18 — the year City broke PL records with 100 points:
@FPL_TomHadley Love it and I like the pick. Train wreck Fulham at home gw8 too 👀
I remember in pre season a cov player saying rudoni is lampards golden boy. Similar position and style to what lampard was — bit of a player/coach bromance apparently.
I keep hearing people say ‘the players had to do it out there on the pitch’.
You know who else trained hard and have it his best effort on game day?
Lance Armstrong.
@lukestanley03 It’s a shame.
We all love our club and will defend them no matter what.
I’d do the same for Arsenal.
We’re so naive and vulnerable to bad actors on the global stage.
Makes me so sad that they’re trying to take the league and especially Man City down with their investment.
@umirf1 It’s so so sad.
The longer city fans stay behind this regime while we know the truth, the more damned the club is for future generations.
I don’t blame them. I might do the same if it were Arsenal.
All it takes for evil to triumph is good people to do nothing.
I really can’t blame city fans.
I can’t honestly say that I would do differently.
But they’ve been co-opted by an Abu Dhabi sportswashing cult.
The only way out is to turn on their owners.
But they won’t. And as a result their grandkids will be tarred with the same brush.
