We either need to apply motor vehicle laws to e-bikes, or change the driving age for motor vehicle laws. Acting like e-bikes are not motorcycles is cognitive dissonance. I started driving on the farm sometime around age 7 or 8, so am comfortable with young drivers.

One lesson from financial services:

Regulation doesn’t just change behavior. It changes where the best people choose to build.

Over the last two decades, entrepreneurial advisors migrated from broker-dealers to the independent RIA model because they could spend more time serving clients and less time navigating bureaucracy.

If AI governance creates that same incentive, don’t be surprised when the most innovative companies build somewhere else.
