Day 1 of the #AG2026 concluded in Nairobi! Sessions opened with key addresses from @FIFProAfrica President @Geremi20Njitap, James Situma of @kefwaofficial and Kenya FA President Hussein Mohamed.

Key Actions Taken:

Global Governance: Approval of the November 2025 Lisbon @FIFPRO General Assembly minutes.

Development: @desmaringwa delivered the new member expansion report.

Finance: @terry_ouko presented the strategic professionalization roadmap.

Accountability: Reviewed performance metrics from national member unions.

Work wraps up this Friday, June 5, as we unite to protect and elevate players across the continent.

Crystal Palace have become the first club to offer an aftercare programme for released players that don't have a future in football.

The three-year aftercare package will support released academy players in making a way of life, outside of football.

This is a fantastic thing for the club to do, hopefully the first of many. 👏
