As someone who has been both raped and abused by men like Trump who don’t respect my humanity, I’m here to say I will never forgive those of you who voted for a rapist and an abuser and expect me to look at his maw for 4 years. #someoneliketrump
I forgot the glob
of aloe on my nose
put there to soothe a dry spot
must have looked like snot
to women glibly chatting at Alder’s school
This phlegmy metonym is apt
self care gone wrong,
nasal misunderstanding
bless the ones who
say nothing
mucus notwithstanding
aloe, aloe.
@zimmermaneric I’ve been looking at Nordic Larp. Markus Montola talks about the larp “Gang Rap and another “Journey.” Lots of abuse of power there, and very disturbing experiences begging the question if “powerful” or “meaningful” experiences are therefore also good. https://t.co/wiiGJSjq2K

@TheAtlantic @CarlosLozadaWP Those photos from Walter Reed of Trump “working” are doctored also. Check out the reflections of hand/pen/paper. His hand reflects *through* the paper he’s signing. Some binders reflect and others don’t.
@RitaJKing I’m not trying to chastise, I promise. It’s a hard thing to parse out. You seem to be celebrating the wisdom you found and that’s not bad! It’s just tricky how that might fit with presumed privacy. I honestly don’t know the answer!
@RitaJKing I haven’t seen the site so can’t say, obviously, but sometimes people just come back at night. I’ve known a few homeless people well. It just makes me a little uncomfortable. It’s a lovely insight tho.
I blame lockdown but for some reason decided to cook Babylonian meal from the recipe tablet on the right; at 1750 BCE are the oldest recipes existing. Seemed to go down OK "Best Mesopotamian meal I have eaten".
A thread 1/6
This fall may be the first time in college history when most students desperately want to be in class, in person, and grumble that they may not be able to do so.
