1st day I met Herbie, June 2018 HS clinic. Out there out-working upperclassmen, having a great day. Seems kinda serious. I asked him how’s it going? “Good. But I gotta work harder. I can play better.” That’s Herbie...always working. Never satisfied! No accident he’s captain.

I met Hats @ Day 2 of summer bantam clinic, 2018. Best player on the ice, AND he’s out there encouraging all players especially the weakest “C” bantams. The 1st day he missed....group has 0 mojo. 2nd day he’s there - the group’s energy thru the roof! No accident he’s captain!

1st day I met Benny was @ the 1st day of our HS clinic in June of 2018 - he was an incoming soph. He stays late to pick up pucks, helps with the nets, then says “thx” to me. Then we talk about all the drills...which ones he really liked etc. No accident he’s a captain now.

End of Season banquet has been postponed, but COVID-19 doesn't slow down getting prepared for next season. Tonight over Zoom, the captains for the 2020-2021 season were announced. Congrats to Ben Goedderz (C), Brett Herbert (A), and Nick Hatton (A). Go Jags!

Bloomington Jefferson and Hibbing/Chisholm’s players of the game goes to # 22 Pierce Tomka and #13 Ben Goedderz of the Jaguars. They both had their first career Varsity goals tonight. Congrats Pierce and Ben!
