Some of the fabulous dishes at @diverxo in the Chamartin neighborhood of #Madrid. It was a pleasure to eat here and experience its wonderful service. From crab to turbot to peas to trout and everything in between, each was certainly a bite to remember.

#BackInBlighty. A good opportunity to share @sazyrock & my eating adventures in London. First stop: Chez Bruce. The last time I ate there was nearly 20 years ago. Today’s meal was very good indeed. Also enjoyed chatting with Bruce Poole. #SimonEats#SimonTravels#SimonInLondon
If you have a spare moment, please do check out my latest review for @timeoutla of the excellent Pasjoli. Here I am trying their signature dish, Canard à la Rouennaise à la presse. A welcome return of classic dining to the more casual LA scene.

We happened upon another spot near the tracks in Ginza where a lot of workers stop off for a quick bite before heading off. No English menu or speaking staff so we pointed at this and got a glorious pile of chicken skin skewers.

A staple of Okinawan cuisine: sea grapes (a type of seaweed) dipped in soy sauce. We’ve also encountered this seaweed in the Philippines (but dipped in garum there) and its great to taste it again.

The fish market and tuna auction may have moved to Toyosu but the Tsukiji Outer Market is still thriving. Our first sushi meal of this trip at Tsukiji Sushi Sen.
