@MaikonCGarcia @E3waitfor2020 @MusarrofAli_ @DoubleFine So the fact that “most of the studios were Kinect/indie” only makes me more afraid for DF. If you’d like me to rephrase my tweet to “I hope DF doesn’t get consolidated after a few years” I’ll do that, because it would be a terrible loss for the industry if that happened to Tim2/2
@MaikonCGarcia @E3waitfor2020 @MusarrofAli_ @DoubleFine If you want to get specific, they’ve actually closed down the same amount of studios. Count consolidated studios, and it’s no contest; Only like two of them were Kinect studios, and we’re talking about Double Fine... a studio that makes “indie” or at most AA games. 1/2
@eskeetiitboi@DoubleFine Someone who crowdfunded the game for PS4 now has to wait longer with no upside. For me, I just don’t feel like spending the same amount of money on a version that is inferior to its next gen counterpart when it doesn’t have to be. That’s all I was saying in my original tweet🤷🏼♂️4/4
@eskeetiitboi@DoubleFine With the last delay, it was revealed that they were able to optimize it for Series X. The game should have delivered for it’s promised systems before all else. Time and resources that could have been used to do that were used for the Series X port. 3/
@eskeetiitboi@DoubleFine I understand that (as I said in my original tweet) but it also wasn’t promised to release on series s/x yet they are using money and time to make those versions. So PlayStation players who crowdfunded the game have to wait longer while receiving an inferior product with no upside
