@Grimezsz@cremieuxrecueil Because men likely don't think that there's anything to be done. HRT was effectively blacklisted for decades based on faulty data.
A few months ago, a guy at my sauna was watching German porn on his phone. I was thinking nein, nein, nein after a few minutes as well. It's not that kind of sauna.
Might be worth using some of your wealth to fund an Ethereum Propaganda Foundation. The EF seems to have little interest in handling promotion, which is fair enough. But it's also a necessary component to success. People need to understand, in clear language, ad nauseam, why Ethereum the platform is beneficial to them personally. And crucially, why ETH the token is likely to appreciate. Otherwise, most people simply won't care.
As with anything in life, WIFT... what's in it for them?
I say this with zero malice; I think you're an interesting person with interesting ideas that has gotten me to think in more creative directions.
And... my life got better when I started looking at problems through the lens of "what would it take for this to be true?" and "who stands to gain and where does the power in this situation lay?"
If Trump and co can't keep oil prices low, they're in for an (extra big) world of pain this year. So they have every incentive to do everything in their power to make that so.
And if they really do plan to take a stake in the various AI companies, much like Intel, they'll want the stocks to continue their up-only trajectory.
There needs to be a "leader" of the Ethereum platform, and that person likely needs to be Vitalik, as much as he rails against it. People want a face to rally behind. And the fully employed team under this leader must be well paid, which necessitates the organization taking steps to drive up token price (ETH).
The community has been dancing around this for years now, which usually amounts to "but it shouldn't be like this!" (normative) vs "but it is like this." descriptive.
All of this is just basic human nature.
@GavMcCracken I suspect that most people don't really know what's going on, they're just trying to keep their heads above water. When I mention these things to friends, they often have no idea what I'm talking about.
The reason anyone gets insanely rich is almost always because of the stock market. It certainly how @elonmusk did.
And the reason they get rich from the stock market, is because 150m Americans decided they wanted to own shares of stocks directly, or through their retirement plans, or through other approaches as a way of building their net worth and trying to create a better life for themselves.
One Hundred Fifty Million Americans. About 60% of adults.
Effectively believing that @elonmusk and many billionaires could make them wealthier and help them achieve a better life.
If you want @elonmusk , and most billionaires to no longer be that rich, convince those 150m to sell their stocks, funds, ETFs whatever.
Of course you would wipe out the net-worth of most of those people, and everyone else’s savings, as the markets crashed and brought down the economy and created the worst depression we have ever seen.
Alternatively
There are ways to improve healthcare access and eventually make it available to all.
To start -
If you want @elonmusk and all billionaires to improve healthcare for everyone , ask them to stop doing business with the enormous healthcare conglomerates and to work directly with transparently priced care providers.
It’s the behemoth HC conglomerates that make HC so bad for so many. (Check my timeline for more detail)
Removing them would push the cost of healthcare down for everyone. Their corporate decisions impact our healthcare cost and availability.
Of course if they do that, not only would our HC costs go down , and the quality of care for their employees and the entire country go up
But
They would see their corporate cash flow increase dramatically and we would have more millionaires, billionaires and maybe even another trillionaire when that cash flow moved from the big health care conglomerates to their bottom line, so would the net worth of the 150 million American adults that own public stocks
Capitalism is better than socialism because 150m Americans can influence exactly what happens in this country.
@Cernovich I find it interesting how angry it makes some people that others are trying to extend their healthspan. Not suggesting this is you, I just see the "how dare you!" tone everywhere. There are worse hobbies.
This is biblical.
A woman in her eighties. Ten years into Alzheimer's. Hadn't spoken a full sentence in five years.
Takes one, 5 gram dose of psilocybin.
She slept 19 hours and woke up and spoke for hours about her life, recognized family and held real conversations. She regained bladder control after five years, walked on her own. and dressed herself. Gains held for weeks.
The most annoying aspect of LLMs now is lack of long term, coherent memory. I know the various agents have some manner of functionality here, but it's still mid at best. I would like to not have to explain something over and over again as context.
