This is it – the moment we’ve been waiting for. The SEC will drop its appeal – a resounding victory for Ripple, for crypto, every way you look at it.
The future is bright. Let's build.
IT'S OVER! The SEC v Ripple case has been quite a journey - thanks for sharing it with me.
$125 Million penalty and a GENERIC injunction Order.
This is a BIG win for Ripple, no doubt about it. Have a Wonderful Day!
Today was an even better day.
Ripple: 3
SEC: 0
In all seriousness, Chris and I (in a case involving no claims of fraud or misrepresentations) were targeted by the SEC in a ruthless attempt to personally ruin us and the company so many have worked hard to build for over a decade.
The SEC repeatedly kept its eye off the ball while secretly meeting with the likes of SBF – failing again and again to protect US consumers & businesses. How many millions of taxpayer $ were wasted?!
Feels good to finally be vindicated.
Despite pristine evidence all over the internet exposing blatant SEC corruption, the case against $XRP remained gridlocked. Many grew fearful the truth simply no longer mattered, but one man did not. His name was @bgarlinghouse and it was time for him to talk his shit. 😤
This is a HUGE week in crypto law.
The Ripple summary judgment briefs will be filed today (although we won't see them until Monday) and a decision in the LBRY case is expected this week.
These two things will effect the entire space for years to come.
Still sinking in that the XRP Ledger now has a testnet offering smart contracts. Real ones. Layer one.
By community devs, zero Ripple developers involved.
Guess it's time to educate the crypto space that some of the FUD really makes no sense.

Central bank digital currencies and some kinds of crypto can be more energy efficient than many current payment options, like credit cards. See #IMFBlog for more. https://t.co/80vaOlLM2s
