The Irish should stop booing. Matt Carley literally ignored the laws of the game and didn’t give a yellow for that penalty try because he felt sorry for how badly we’re dog walking you in the scrums.

Rassie gets his win in Dublin. The Springboks bullied Ireland for the full 80, yet the scoreboard barely reflects the dominance. If we’re being honest, they’ll be disappointed this wasn’t a 50-point blowout against an Irish side that completely lost their discipline.

Watching this game made me wonder how the rugby world will spin this result. Neither team deserves praise for that performance but you just know they’ll get it. If the All Blacks produced a match like this, whether on the winning or losing side, those glass-half-full/glass-half-empty podcasters would tear us to pieces. But somehow both the Boks and the Irish will walk away with compliments.
