Women will spend $20,000 on IVF before a clinic ever runs a full iron panel.
Spending thousands of dollars on failed transfers before checking basic iron is insane.
In a new study of nearly 300 infertile women, simply restoring their iron doubled their live birth rate and cut miscarriages in half.
Your uterine lining needs blood flow and oxygen to grow, and you cannot build a healthy placenta when you are iron deficient.
Before you let a clinic rush you into invasive fertility treatments, check your ferritin and get it above 50.
@TonyNashNerd@FreightAlley No Tony no!
Texas is fantastic and will continue to be an economic hub.
Also no state income taxes.
Houses, football fields, everything is bigger in Texas.
@Molson_Hart Lack of trust the stock market (fair amount of govt subsidies”.
FDI has dwindled. Competing against USA, so there’s uncertainty.
Real estate is the primary savings vehicle, and that has not settled yet. Who’s taking the hit… homeowners, local govt, Beijing 🤷

@adnandawood@JulieChangRE Not sure I would deem young professionals “working class”. In any case, Dubai is an interesting successful project to date. Would like to visit in the future. As a whole, it doesn’t seem replicable to places like USA, Europe etc.
@JulieChangRE@adnandawood Maybe certain countries in Europe. Possibly. As a whole, they have house centuries ago and plenty die from heat or cold because they don’t have HVACs.
@adnandawood@JulieChangRE There was probably some. Whether prevalent or not I dunno. Am I off based in thinking Dubai wasn’t built for the working class?
@JulieChangRE@adnandawood So what country to compare against? Europe? Canada? Australia? Japan?
We don’t have cheap labor anymore. Regulations rarely get rolled back.
This debate “is” vs “ought”
@JulieChangRE@adnandawood I agree ideally they shouldn’t have that power. Practically speaking I also don’t expect those in control and voters to trade off their self interests for the greater goods.
I just don’t see highly desirable areas in highly developed countries have more housing.
@JulieChangRE@adnandawood Yes. Various factors have changed to explain why they’re different and difficult to build now. It’s not any different than China and Thailand and Vietnam building now due to laxed regulations, labor laws, and cheap labor.
But as they develop, they’ll deal with the same issue.
@JulieChangRE@adnandawood This is not to say I support NIMBY. Guess I’m too fatalistic that the “solutions” isn’t rocket science, but why has this always been an issue for decades? It’s the misalignment of human self interests.
@JulieChangRE@adnandawood They have option to cash in or leave it to their kids. It’s a choice they have. And they also have a local vote.
My point being the self interest is a feature and not a bug.
There will always be an imbalance w/supply demand in the most desirable areas.
@adnandawood@JulieChangRE Another factor… ur parents bought a house 30 years ago for 2 berries… they pass it on to you when they die with a new step up basis of $2m. What’s the incentive for them to sell now? Now ur owner, what’s ur motivation to have more peasants and traffic next to u?
@tracknumber06@dollarsanddata “A hot coal is godsend in a cold winter outside”. I take it intentional with timing matters. 30 is when it matters to one’s child growing up and most impactful with proper setups. In their 50s less impactful as many milestones have already passed.
@ShaneMa01033790@TonyNashNerd This viewpoint sounds like a viewpoint of someone who’s single and has no kids and wife. Is this the response you try to mansplain to your wife and crying child as to why we should rent lol
@rubicon59@TShirtnJeans2 Devils advocate don’t this also be less of a barrier to entry for competition? And memory is generally more commodity-fungible like?
@cperruna@MmisterNobody Yup. A classic example of supply and demand specifics to the geographic.
And have people compared HHI to housing in other countries like Canada, Oz, China, Vietnam, etc. to realize affordability is even worse, and it can always get worse here.
So much equity boomers sitting on.
