At UWI, when students from foreign countries speak of how their govt takes care of them. Jamaicans stay quiet because we can't relate because even requesting govt help in an emergency is called entitlement.

We told the MFAFT that some schools were not observing the threats and that some JA students were told they would be expelled if they left the country. We asked the MFAFT to personally write to these schools to have us withdrawn as with more authority they could better assist.

I don't know of any law that prevents an employer from paying a minimum wage earner more than the minimum wage. If you can afford to pay your housekeeper 20G per week then what's stopping you?

Offer them a bonus/a bag of groceries/a drive off the hill. What's stopping you???
