Seeing a lot of opposition to the @gitcoinpassport and for not being "anonymous," especially around the @zksync $zks airdrop.

I’ve been developing on zkSync for nearly 2 years and here’s my take:

I don't think people realize that all transactions on ETH are public. Decentralization doesn’t mean anonymous. It means no single entity controls the network, especially not your wallet. It’s ironic that many who complain about KYC use centralized platforms like Binance and Coinbase.

As for KYC, it can be temporary KYC and deleted after use, tackling botting which is big on zkSync, I know from my experience. In my opinion the fear around KYC often comes from those who might not have genuine intentions.

I don't think many of you understand how dangerous bots can be, not only if we allow bots will you get a smaller $zks allocation, but the $zks will be worth less since bots will dump.

Not saying I am pro or against gitcoin, since I definitely find staking gtc, not being able to add multiple wallets and some other requirements a bit stupid.

Here’s what I think would make a fair $zks airdrop:
- temporal KYC that gets removed after claiming.
- Ability to add multiple wallets into one claim. Seriously, who uses just one wallet?
- On-chain activity that boosts your airdrop amount: transactions count, unique transaction weeks, gas spent, paymasters, AA, different types of interactions, NFTs, erc20... Including Lite, Era, and even testnets.

This approach could reduce abuse from bots and scammers, and reward genuine, diverse blockchain engagement.

@hieepez I think these could be good... Implementing a criteria/multiplier for the usage of ETH mainnet is a great thing, also how old the first TX on ETH was, and activity on distinct months on zksync + the people that were big users of Lite as they are the OGs of zksync community imo.
