Trump in the Oval Office this morning admitted he personally asked FIFA to overturn the suspension of Folarin Balogun, saying he "didn't know what the hell a red card was," then invoked the big lie while discussing the plight of Team USA: "The other way, if they beat us, I'd say it was rigged, just like the election was rigged in 2020, but I won't get into that."
But before Trump started speaking, Ted Cruz thanked him and said the quiet part out loud: "There was a reason the FIFA trophy sat here for as long as it did."
