LIV is not going to put the PGA Tour of out business, but it's a hell of a fan experience and I'd go again anytime. Some belated thoughts, photos and videos from Friday at the LIV Chicago Invitational (THREAD):

@PGASplits101 @digital_trav Don’t watch LIV if you don’t like it, but half of every field on the PGA Tour is has-been and never-was guys also. That’s how pro golf works

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@ColettiCorp @livgolf_league @RangeGoatsGC @MiamiDolphins It’s pro golf… everyone’s a dork

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@54LivePod I’m okay with it for early season golf. These first few events mostly exist to give us some Hawaiian scenery during the winter doldrums

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@jackiesdad33 @mpoplin87 @flushingitgolf @b_dechambeau @TheSergioGarcia @Crushers_GC @fireballsgc_ The competition you like is still available every week on the PGAT though. Last season was arguably their best ever. Elevated events were a huge improvement over the old schedule

@AnubusIIMD @golfproryan @PGATOUR @TheSentry @livgolf_league @PGALIVHotTakes @LIVGolfUpdates @LIVGolfNation @flushingitgolf @ProGolfCritic @Bigboypantsgolf @GolfloverUK @bobball That is different though. That’s the traditional scoreboard in the corner. Not a column that takes up the whole side of the screen like LIV

@68shooter “When in doubt, pull out”

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@gjuster Sorry. If you weren’t there to see Gene Sarazen in his prime, you don’t know golf

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@bSmithMagic @1BlackCovfefe @CitizenFreePres Pretty funny that you and the rube who couldn’t understand your analogy are on the same team 😆 Two people of wildly different IQs, united by racism

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@EricMcEntee_ @CitizenFreePres What’s really weird is that Abbott isn’t even sending migrants to Chicago, in many cases. He’s sending them to exurbs up to 90 miles from the city (like Rockford, IL) where the locals are Trump voters. Inept as usual

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@DouglasWillrett @NUCLRGOLF He’ll never be healthy again. Will always struggle even to walk

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@Zen86175313 @livgolf_league @b_dechambeau @Crushers_GC If you are not impressed with a 58, why even follow golf?

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@MThi_59 @CDubKY3 @NUCLRGOLF @GOLF_com Wow. Well said

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@letitflye @graybrigade The vax is legit. That’s why powerful people like the Trump and DeSantis families were first in line to get it

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@NUCLRGOLF They do actually call him that for nothing, since Nicklaus is the goat

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@USCnDodgerBlue @Cito3211 @kylerrobbins Tiger is the GOAT at trying to die in cars

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@LeeAbbamonte @PhilMickelson @JoePompliano Watch whatever you like, but I feel like people who liked the Tour in the past should like the events even more now. They basically have a Players Championship field 12x per year now. Before LIV, you’d never see all the stars at once

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@CDubKY3 @NUCLRGOLF @GOLF_com When you say “historically,” what history are you referring to? There’s no real history of new golf leagues to compare to

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@HQAIX @NUCLRGOLF @GOLF_com did you make that AI image just for this comment?

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@NUCLRGOLF Can you imagine paying monthly dues to hang out with these jagoffs

[🏌🏼‍♂️PIF the Magic Dragon @golf_wars]

@KosturpY @LIVGolfWombat So you’re trying to insult LIV for hosting an event at the course where the Tour had a tournament for nine straight years?
