Well done @TommyFleetwood1 - come a long way since I took this pic of you and Masie at Gleneagles 2013. Well done mate!! @RyderCupEurope Europe is proud of you!!!
Great piece about the man behind the @dunhilllinks and so much more. Johann’s a fascinating, brilliant man. If anyone can bring peace to world golf, it’s him.
@DempsterMartin@mcginleygolf Totally agree Martin - still remember Paul's presser at Gleneagles on the Monday morning and thought it was one of the best yet - shrewd move indeed.
Give this a listen, it explains in simple terns why the dangerous policing of thought and the keeping of records, which are not crimes, must be nipped in the bud immediately.
Will you be apologising for celebrating an act of unlawful discrimination, Mr Harvie? Or is some discrimination ok in your book, as long as it’s the *right kind* of discrimination?
Hopefully the message is getting through. Even soi disant “righteous” discrimination is unlawful.
My thoughts on the UK Covid inquiry in Scotland.
First - KC Dawson I found him to be professional, polite, respectful and determined to get to the truth.
It’s fair to say that the facts and evidence provided and not provided showed Scotland is not being ran as a democracy instead it’s a dictatorship a government of one and that one was the disgraced former FM N.Sturgeon.
The constitution of government is we have a cabinet of 28 ministers in Scotland yes I know 28 🙄 who make important decisions on policies as a collective. Mr Dawson stated on a number of times that the cabinet were merely a cabinet of ratifying decisions rather than decision making.
Gold command was set up by Sturgeon with a select few who ultimately made all the decisions. Which were then taken to cabinet to ratify. Gold command had no minutes taken a secretive and deliberate way to hide from the public as to why decisions were taken and by who.
Covid messages were systematically deleted or as Sturgeon put it simply not retained. The excuses are just not believable. No government devises were used all used their own private devices. Sturgeon even went as far as to instruct Devi Sridhar to use her SNP email account rather than her government email account so it’s not recorded.
Decision were made for political reasons especially to be different from WM. They actively pushed a policy of independence during covid times. Made important decisions for political reasons rather than health reasons. Spain for example they were worried banning Spain from entering Scotland would harm their chances of entering the EU if they ever gained independence.
Pushing a policy of Zero Covid which was impossible to do with a virus was another huge mistake. Sturgeon stating we were close to eradicating covid then changing that to eliminating Covid then bizarrely saying they are two different meanings.
I found Sweeney to be arrogant. I found the rest to be incompetent and inept. Mr Dawson on a number of occasions stated they were not prepared for a health emergency.
Sturgeon testimony was interesting she was a shadow of her former self she came across as someone who had been found out. Nervous and anxious. She was found out to have lied on a number of occasions made all the decisions acted like a dictator it was her way or the highway. She loved the attention of her daily political broadcasts. She did everything possible to hide the way decisions were made and by who.
In conclusion Scotland was not prepared for a health emergency they were slow to respond. They used the pandemic for political purposes made political decisions and ran an independence campaign. Care home deaths were avoidable and possibly criminal. Sturgeon used close allies instead of health experts to make important heath decisions. Scotland deserved better a secretive government with shambolic record keeping at best and at worst deliberate. Sturgeon’s reputation is in tatters a dictator with anger issues .
