@evalu18golf Jasper, hope to see the return of some of the original features. Is the old green on the right up the 1st a possibility? When Barry Willet was doing the clubmaking there many many years ago he showed an old picture of the 1st back in the 20’s with the green to the right hill
@AndyEwence@StGeorgesHillGC@bschneider126@mosergolf@CunninGolf@BlinderBunker Such a special place, Colts Cathedral, love the Darwin story of Colt showing him the holes through woods and glades. Thanks to Tarrant for employing Colt for the golf course. Will we see the return of this beautiful hazard. Perhaps a monster green on 8.
@Hainesy76 Just wondering Simon is it a crazy golf? I’ve never seen those photos. I always thought it was full golf course, didn’t realise it had this too? This pic of Hickman the club pro playing as they built houses on it.
@Hainesy76 Love it Simon great post. Both are superb holes. Then you start thinking about other par 3’s like the 4th at Swinley or the 8th St George’s Hill or the 2nd on Green course at St George’s Hill, I love that one. The 4th hole at RCD or the 15th Ballybunion. I’m rambling now
@Hainesy76 Yes very exciting to see how something already a masterpiece can be improved. No doubt the green course has its limitations. I’ve always loved the 2nd on the green, I didn’t realise it was a par 4 before.
Massive thanks to you all! I've smashed my fundraising target for Macmillan Cancer Support. They do amazing work, my JustGiving page tells you what I’m doing and why https://t.co/sCFHnTvG2k #JustGiving
@langhorn_stuart@BlinderBunker@beaconsfield_gc Just looks superb and gives the hole a revitalised facelift not to mention bringing the fairway lunar landscape into play off that back tee.
