After a wet start at ExeterGolf Course, everyone was in high spirits. With torrential rain following the troops from Scotland, they managed to make it to the 9th hole but returned to the safety of the 19th, as you can't putt in a swimming pool.

6 SCOTS have deployed on Ex LOWLAND POPPY. Stand 1, Breskens ferry port was the jump off point for Op INFATUATE 1 for Royal Marine Commandos and elements of 52nd Lowland Division on 1st Nov 1944.
Ex LOWLAND POPPY. Stand 4, Hotel Brittania, 7/9 Royal Scots carried out a frontal assault on the German Command position with great effect. Historians and Soldiers brief the group on the details of the assault.
Ex LOWLAND POPPY. Stand 3, Uncle Beach. Uncle Beach was the landing zone for the assault on Walcheren. Here, a bunker and the living conditions the German Soldiers occupied until their surrender on Nov 3rd.
Our Army Reserves are currently in Otterburn on a two week Cadre Camp. Furthering their skills and knowledge on a variety of weapons, equipment and vehicles.
