Gorse, or Whin as its often known in Scotland, is in bloom at this time of year. It brightens up golf courses, especially links. It also gives off a wonderful coconut vanilla scent.

A friend sent me this just after lunch today. That is the famous St Andrews Old Course behind the wall. The Jigger Inn is directly adjacent to the 2022 Open venue for the 150th Open.
