On 10 May, academics and students gathered in Berlin’s university square to begin an action that would see the burning of over 20,000 books. Such was the brainwashing of the German nation that most of the younger generation had no knowledge of what they were burning, never having read the books that they were casting into the flames.
Two months later, on 15 July, Howard Triest’s uncle Kurt Westheimer (his mother’s brother) was arrested by the Gestapo at his place of work in Munich. Uncle Kurt worked for Klaubers, a Munich-based firm which manufactured ladies’ fine slips and gowns. A group of Gestapo officers arrived and demanded to speak to some of the employees. Kurt replied, ‘Not now. They’re working. You can speak to them on their day off.’

The Lebanon Warning: What Britain Refuses to See – Updated 2026
Will the UK 🇬🇧 become Lebanon 🇱🇧 2.0?
In 2024 I posted a thread comparing Lebanon’s fate to the UK. Sceptics called it alarmist.
Today, under Starmer’s Labour government, it’s playing out faster than even I expected. Perhaps, one day, we can thank him for that - but I’ll park that for now.
Lebanon’s story in brief:
• Once a prosperous Christian-majority country (around 52-55% Christian in the early 1970s).
• Influx of Muslim refugees and migrants shifted the demographics.
• High birth rates + continued migration tipped the balance.
• Parallel societies formed → “no-go” areas → political infiltration → civil war (1975-1990).
• Christians displaced, economy ruined, Hezbollah now dominates. A cautionary tale of demographic conquest and lost sovereignty.
Britain today – the parallels are impossible to ignore:
• Muslim population ~6-7% nationally, far higher in cities like London (15%+), Birmingham, Bradford, Luton. Younger age profile and higher fertility rates mean rapid growth. Projections under high migration point to significant further increases by 2050.
• Grooming gangs scandal: Decades of systemic failure, mostly Pakistani-Muslim perpetrators in many towns. National inquiry announced but plagued by delays, scope fights, and leadership issues into 2026. Victims still waiting while authorities tiptoe around “community relations.”
• Two-tier policing & protests: Large rallies protesting immigration, grooming, and Islamism draw huge crowds. Clashes with other marches. Accusations of heavy-handedness against native Brits versus leniency elsewhere. Continued tensions throughout 2025-2026.
• Political cosy-up: Starmer hosts big Iftars in Parliament and praises Muslim contributions while the grooming inquiry drags and integration fails. Sectarian MPs, foreign funding concerns, and protests with slogans many see as incompatible with British values. “Community of communities” rhetoric that prioritises parallel societies.
• Cultural & security shifts: Reports of no-go areas persist, Sharia patrols in places, grooming and terrorism links, and demands for blasphemy-style censorship. Native British people labelled “far-right” for raising concerns while extremism inquiries often focus elsewhere.
This isn’t “racism.” It’s pattern recognition from history. Lebanon didn’t fall overnight — it fell through denial, open borders, differential birth rates, and elite refusal to defend the host culture.
Britain still has time, but the window is closing. Mass low-skilled migration + refusal to enforce integration = the same trajectory.
Wake up. Demand:
• Proper border control and deportations (including failed asylum seekers and criminals).
• A full, fearless grooming gangs inquiry that names ethnicity, religion and cultural factors without fear.
• End two-tier policing. Equal treatment under the law for everyone.
• Halt policies that accelerate demographic replacement.
• Prioritise British citizens — our culture, values, and security first.
History doesn’t repeat?, but it rhymes. Lebanon was the warning. Britain is choosing the same path under current leadership.
Why does the Muslim Brotherhood have so much influence in our politics? Why hasn’t government proscribed the IRGC?
What will it take for people to see it? Share if you’re awake. Tag your MP. Vote accordingly. A vote for Labour or the Greens is a vote for Islam and Sharia.

Watch this.
We currently pay £1.5 billion a year to switch wind farms off when it's too windy.
Rachel Fletcher from Octopus Energy has just told Parliament that could soar to £10 BILLION by 2030.
Ed Miliband is writing cheques for wind farm developers before the grid can move their energy to where it’s needed.
This is a political choice and it is making electricity expensive.
Government needs to wake up to what their plans are doing to our energy prices and make electricity cheap.
They're no longer even bothering to pretend the Uniparty candidates aren't joke candidates
Now they're literally just fielding joke candidates, and we're meant to treat the evacuation of democratic accountability as a HILARIOUS jape and ignore the fact that the joke's on us
Absolutely shocking at PMQs … David Lammy refuses to apologise to sexual assault victims
And then refused to guarantee that rapists and pedophiles won’t be let out early …
His big answer is confirming DIGITAL ID.
To the degree “Britain is finished” it’s because we have become one of the most anti-wealth, anti-success, anti-growth nanny states in the developed world.
The nation that birthed the Industrial Revolution, invented modern capitalism, governed 25% of the world’s population and invented swaths of technologies that the world relies on today… is suddenly afraid of a little inequality.
The truth is however that we don’t have rampant inequality at all.
By all measures we are a normal economy…
- Wealth of the top 1% has been stable for 40+ years. There’s no data that says it’s “out of control”
- Wealth at the bottom 50% is in line with the rest of the world’s major economies.
- Our Gini-coefficient is middle of the pack for the G20 nations.
So… Where are we going wrong?
- Our economic freedom index rating is falling. It shows that economic freedom is down significantly because we are over-taxed and over-regulated.
- The ratio of government spending to GDP is sky high (45% of GDP). We’re losing our free market system because almost half the economy is government spending NOT market driven spending.
- Taxation is at an all time high point. It’s wildly progressive relative to our past and our peers. The top rate of tax kicks in at 3x the average while the USA has a lower top rate that kicks in at 7x the average. Minimum wage is pegged at 60% of the median - one of the highest in the world. All of this is to say that we’re so safeguarded from danger that we can’t actually get ahead!
- Wage suppression through taxation cliffs is holding back productivity.
- We have socialist ideologues in senior roles across government who LOVE the idea of the nanny state. They think economic growth is government growth. They think it’s dangerous for wealth to be in the hands of individuals. They think “wealthy people” are people who “have savings”.
- we have a government that is painfully unaware that new technology erodes the value of jobs at the bottom and increased competition through open-door migration suppresses wages too.
We’re trying to tax the country into growth. It doesn’t work.
Gary wants to create equality by making the country poorer and it doesn’t benefit anyone.
Instead of worrying about inequality we should be focused on making the country richer and raising living standards.
🚨 REVEALED: The Man Behind Count Binface
The satirical candidate known as Count Binface is comedian and BBC comedy writer Jonathan David Harvey.
He is a Remain voter who strongly opposes Brexit, Trump, and right-wing politics. It has also been reported he said Britain should welcome all migrants.
His costume may bring laughter, and visible fun to by elections but he is asset of the deep state to undermine democracy and right-wing politics.
Bottom line: Voting for Count Binface isn’t supporting some harmless novelty act.
It’s a vote for Labour.
No. Born in poverty & irreverently apolitical, Screaming Lord Sutch followed the proud tradition of British satire. BBC Oxbridge metro-jester & leftablishment drone Jon Harvey follows the long tradition of British snobbery. Voters know the difference btwn. being humored & mocked.
These people are not just unethical. To my mind the violation of forcing women and girls to undress in full view of males is even worse than stealing medals, because it is a sex crime.
Any person who facilitates men trespassing in single-sex female spaces where women and girls have, as the Criminal Code puts it, "an expectation of privacy" is criminally complicit in the sex crimes known as voyeurism and indecent exposure.
There are countless woke bureaucrats in Tranada who deserve to be arrested and prosecuted by the police for their crimes, and when law enforcement agencies finally end their dereliction of duty, which is bound to happen sooner or later, they better be on the side of protecting the privacy and dignity of women and girls in our single-sex spaces.
All this Count Binface talk got me looking into who this guy really is.
Jonathan David Harvey — who earns his living making comedy shows for the BBC — is an Oxbridge liberal elitist who has screeds of anti-Brexit, anti-Trump, and anti-British rants on his Twitter going back over a decade.
He even thought Nigel Farage’s Brexit balloons “looked Russian.”
His “Talent Manager” Hollie Ebdon once wrote of Farage, “Oh f*ck off you horrible c*nt.”
Don’t get me wrong, I think Binface is a hilarious character, and Harvey is clearly a talented satirist.
But pretending he’s just some random bloke in a suit having a laugh is nonsense.
He’s an establishment luvvie sent to try to undermine the aspirations of people who vote for right wing candidates or parties.
Reminds me of when Al Murray ran against Farage in 2015 and got 300-odd votes.
Mocking people to their faces is only funny for so long.
😱Turns out treating everyone like a suspect isn't going down too well...
“The British public does not want to live in a ‘papers, please’ society.
“They emphatically rejected mandatory digital ID, and as they learn more about invasive facial recognition technology, they are rejecting it too.
“It is outrageous to subject millions of innocent people to intrusive biometric identity checks when they have done absolutely nothing wrong” - @JCoulson1013

This is so worryingly misinformed from a taxpayer-funded public servant.
The price of wind is not falling, as you can see from this chart it is in fact *rising.* The 2025 price should actually be 12% higher as the contract length was extended to 20 yrs ie it is rising steeply. This years auction looks set to be no cheaper than last years.
These prices are before you include systems costs (grid, balancing etc) which are also rapidly rising to the tune of tens of billions.
Clean tech is great. But the growth of renewables is because they are backed by consumers being locked into very high prices for decades. Much higher prices than our competitors’ energy prices. No wonder wind developers want to build here. That is not growth based on economic optimism but on huge billpayer subsidies and it will only deter electrification which is a much bigger deal for emissions.
Nuclear would actually give us the cleanest air because it doesn’t require gas back up. Unlike wind and solar which also uses up to 3000 times the land and are blanketing some of our most beautiful wild landscapes. However you have been a long standing critic of nuclear and are currently making it harder and more expensive to build in the UK.
A huge problem that we have in climate policy is supposedly impartial leaders like the CCC and Natural England are using dodgy data and dodgy facts to favour their own ideologies.
Who is holding them accountable?
Dale Vince donated £5 million to the Labour Party.
His energy companies then received £123 million in subsidies.
Funny that isn’t it!?
I don’t remember Sky News camping outside his or his family’s house.
Labour Party received a £4 million donation from a Cayman Islands hedge fund days after the general election was called - and just before election campaign rules came into force.
How convenient!
Please confirm no one from that hedge fund has been given a cushy job in a quango.
At 16, the Government says you're not old enough to:
Buy a pint 🍺❌
Play the lottery 🎫
Drive a car 🚗
Get a mortgage 🏠
Sit on a jury ⚖️
Stand in as a candidate in an election 🗳️
Serve in the armed forces without parental consent🪖
Why? Because we've decided, as a country, that adulthood begins at 18.
So why does Labour suddenly think 16-year-olds should choose who runs the country?
It's not principle. It's politics.🙄
That's why I've tabled amendments to link the voting age to that of adulthood.
I'd encourage all MPs to sign up to this important amendment.📜
When Labour triggered a by-election to get Andy Burnham in, the Tories, Restore, Lib Dems, and everyone else played along.
When Reform triggers a by-election, they all boycott it.
Now, you tell me, who is establishment and who isn’t.
Taxpayers are paying £600,000 salary to the Head of HS2 plus possible bonuses. The project is massively expensive and over budget. Why did HS2 pay £77 m for consultancy on cost and related matters last year? Can’t the CEO just cut the costs, starting with fewer consultants?
