“I, as a player, am honoured that I was a part of that. The great Hall of Famer Jim Robson — one of his most famous calls — I was in it, and that’s an honour for me.”
Former #Canucks captain Trevor Linden joined Canucks Talk to reflect on Jim Robson’s legacy.
John Shorthouse emotionally reminiscing on Jim Robson’s excellence, his legacy and his heartbreak that Jim never got to see the #Canucks lift the Stanley Cup.
Must listen clip here 💔:
Devastated to hear of the passing of Jim Robson. He is the standard to which all BC based play-by-play broadcasters have aspired to, and will never reach.
The word legend isn’t enough.
Jim Robson was as important to Canucks fans as the players on the ice. Jim would never want to hear that but it was true. It certainly was for me growing up in BC. One of the all-time greats. A pro on the mic. Humble and kind in person. A major inspiration to me. RIP Jim.
Jim Robson was too busy caring for the game to have any regard for fame. Accuracy mattered more than a colourful style. His greatness was best measured by how obvious it was, to British Columbians, and to friends, colleagues and hockey fans everywhere.
This is absolutely wonderful! @BKA_5_SCOTS spotted @jimmyfallon (who’s in Scotland on a solo trip) & invited him to dinner. His hotel manager lent him his kilt & full regalia & one of the battalion made him his own kilt that night, as well as gift him a regimental cap 🏴

Unpopular book opinions I will always stand by:
-audiobooks count as reading
-rereads are as important as new reads
-books are for everyone, you just have to find the right one for you
-not finishing a book doesn’t mean you’ve failed, it means you’ve chosen your happiness
