@ForestMommy Agreed..your immediate community; home, schools, where you shop and eat, parks, water, homeless, are effected by taxes, fee's, from municipalities..and it's where the "burraracy" begins..
@SuperOfMyHome@JamesPe11904122@Rebeccaandgus@libsoftiktok What meaningful "legislation" at the Republican General Assembly is he referring too?

Registered nurse Gail Macrae is making explosive allegations about COVID-era hospital protocols, claiming remdesivir, ventilators, patient isolation, and financial incentives contributed to patient deaths.
Her claims are highly controversial and are drawing renewed attention online.
She’s not wrong.
@epochhealth What is or was considered problematic high blood pressure?
Over 150/88?.
When should we be concerned and what really works to lower high blood?
Providing that kind of information alongside this post would be helpful as high blood pressure is damaging to kidneys.
Please share the hell out of this 🙏

“On November 7, our family’s world was turned upside down.
After 25 years of devoted service to the Drake Middle School community, my husband, Brian English, found himself in a verbal disagreement with a newer Assistant Principal regarding, what he believed to be an inconsistent and targeting evaluation process.
He returned to his classroom and continued teaching for another hour and a half.
Later that same day, shortly before school was as out, police officers entered Drake and escorted Brian out of his classroom in front of students and colleagues.
It appeared as if he was arrested, although he was not. He was not given any explanation for his removal. His school keys and laptop were taken, and he was publicly humiliated in the very place he had dedicated his life to serving.
Within hours, families received an email stating that he would not be returning to Drake and that he would be replaced the following Monday-without any further explanation- he was given a “gag-order” and was told that he could not speak with the staff, students or the public.
After 25 years of service, his name was removed from the school website that weekend. No further information was shared, allowing harmful rumors to spread unchecked Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The following Monday, an email was sent stating that law enforcement had never been used in his removal- a statement that was inaccurate and deeply concerning to parents, staff and students who witnessed the disturbing events unfold.
Because Brian was instructed not to speak publicly while employment matters were pending, he was isolated and unable to defend himself or correct the misinformation.
False claims quickly circulated- locally and beyond- including extremely disturbing rumors that he had been arrested or was somehow connected to unrelated and deeply troubling ongoing criminal allegations facing the district. None of this was true, yet no public clarification was made at the time of his police escort.”

🚨 Denver DSA Says the Quiet Parts Out Loud
A lot has been said about Melat Kiros, but not nearly as much about Denver DSA. So here is Denver DSA in its own words.
At a recent meeting, the chapter defined socialism as “the economy and society” being run “by the community as a whole” rather than “to make profits for a few.” That may sound soft, but it is a sweeping definition that sounds more communist-adjacent.
Denver DSA described abolition as “organizing toward a world without police and prisons,” and said its abolition working group has backed bail fundraisers, jail support, know your rights trainings, and “pressure campaigns to decrease Denver police budgets.”
The chapter also highlighted pressure campaigns on Denver City Council, including one around a bill “to stop encampment sweeps of unhoused people during freezing temperatures.” That pressure worked, at least at first. City Council passed the bill, but Mayor Mike Johnston thankfully vetoed it.
The rest of the meeting was just as revealing. They said they do not have “risky conversations” or “dubious conversations” on Slack and instead take those into “better channels.”
They highlighted co-marching with PSL after October 7, saying they were “one of the first and loudest groups” locally talking about “Palestinian liberation.” They also pointed to the student encampment, “the 2nd longest running student encampment in the country,” and said they “gained a lot of members from that moment.”
Their international work is focused on “supporting Palestinian liberation” and “supporting Cuban self-determination,” including material aid work. Their migrant justice working group says it organizes “to abolish ICE” and passes out whistle kits so community members can alert each other to the presence of ICE officers.
Denver DSA’s pitch is pretty clear. Republicans are apparently fascists. Democrats are failing. The alternative is socialism.
“The time for an alternative system is long overdue.”
“And in DSA, our answer to that question of what that alternative system is, is socialism.”
These are not youthful, idealistic progressives. This is an abolitionist, anti-police, anti-ICE, and anti-capitalist activist network actively pressuring city policy.
@FreeStateColor1 🙄 absolutely no excitement over here. It was
good to see you on Saturday at Freedom Fest.
I'm more pissed off about the decision on the 14th Amendment😕
