@WFRGreens now that @wfcouncil is now green, it would be a good time to review the custodians of our treasured green spaces particularly @LeeValleyPark. Take a look at my feed dedicated to their management of waste in the marshes. It's gone on too long. @SaveLeaMarshes
New bins same problem at Copper Mill Lane car park. Great work @LeeValleyPark you really used the opportunity from the last ones being burnt down to break down this problem and address the hundreds of posts demonstrating how little this makes sense. @SaveLeaMarshes@MPSWForest
So now there are none. Zero bins between copper Mill Lane and Lee valley ice center. Will @LeeValleyPark use the destruction of the single bin they have for the marshes as an opportunity to improve their waste solution @MPSWForest@wfcouncil@SaveLeaMarshes
This is @LeeValleyPark waste solution solution for the thousands of people who visit this area of the marshes. @wfcouncil you must engage with LVRPA over this. The E17 part of Lea valley is seriously threatened by the poor waste management. More has to be done. @SaveLeaMarshes
Great news, the suns out again. Not good news for @LeeValleyPark as the spaces they manage get a step closer to irreversible plastic pollution.Their no bin policy is a total failure and they continue to ignore the fact it's not working
@SaveLeaMarshes@E19Wetlands@stellacreasy
@wfcouncil@MPSWForest how can it be that my business gets fined if bins overflow and @LeeValleyPark get away with this year after year. I have requested a public consultation and willing to host but they are not interested. Very simple low cost solutions here. @SaveLeaMarshes
@LeeValleyPark your excuse for ignoring sufficient waste management 'countryside code - take your litter home' may work in the countryside, but not in the city. The walthamstow marshes are being destroyed because of litter. Give the people bins! @SaveLeaMarshes
The problem is not going away. Not providing proper waste facilities is aiding and abetting littering. @LeeValleyPark you need to work with @wfcouncil waste team to get bigger bins by the entrances of the marahes. @E17Wetlands @SaveLeaMarshes@WFEcho@MPSWForest
@LeeValleyPark failed initiative left to rot. Why won't they tell us how much these cost to install and why won't they remove it? Interesting to see that people are using it to put rubbish in. Why trial a commercial bin there to see if it's used for a few months? @SaveLeaMarshes
@LeeValleyPark No matter how much you say no litter, there will still be litter if you do not provide bins. Tens of thousands of people visit walthamstow and Leyton Marshes in the summer. Face facts, you need a new plan to sort the litter problem!
@LeeValleyPark Waste of money that could have been spent on getting a consultant in that cares about the environment to look at waste / litter solutions @SaveLeaMarshes
Day after day, year after year @LeeValleyPark fail to provide decent waste solutions. They do however find money to develop app activated cupboards with cheap tacky equipment to borrow. Who on earth is running that organization? @SaveLeaMarshes@CRobbinsLBWF@MPSWForest
@LeeValleyPark countryside policy working as well as it has done for years. The policy is completely ignorant of the quantity of people visiting the park and is a gas light for not addressing the waste management. Absolute shame on them @SaveLeaMarshes@wfcouncil@MPSWForest
You are not the countryside authority. You are a funded organization responsible for implementing policy and developing strategies to protect the Lea Valley. Instead you use things like 'countryside code' to avoid addressing problems (which are easily resolvable). Pic from Monday
@gonzological Hi, as previously mentioned we follow the Countryside Code in the park – if you bring it in, you take it home with you. BoxUp is new to the UK but hugely successful across Europe and we secured external funding to install east London's first locker, which will encourage more 1/2

As mentioned before. Completely out of touch and already vandalized. How much did this scheme cost you? If you cared what the public thought, a simple survey - more bins or app activated storage boxes. Your litter policy is a complete failure @SaveLeaMarshes@wfcouncil
