@maryswitzer666 Horrible tragedy unfolding in Ukraine. There are thousands who have arrived in Canada many in Winnipeg where I live. In fact at the turn of the last century Winnipeg was a hotbed of Ukrainian refugees - Jewish and non Jewish - my grandparents included.

@maryswitzer666 There are lots of stories of Jews being so frightened of surviving antisemitism that they either converted to Christianity or pretended they had. So who knows?

@maryswitzer666 Interesting! My Jewish grandparents were from a small village in Ukraine. When they came to Canada their name couldn’t be pronounced so immigration arbitrarily gave them the anglicized name Switzer.

@TwitDrRey It’s now two years later and I’m just now on Twitter once again. Hope you are doing well wherever you are. I too am retired and volunteering. As you know the Child Development Clinic focused on pre schoolers but my volunteer work is on the other end of the age spectrum.
