We are thankful the #AirportFire in Oceanside is controlled and our staff and animals are safe. We were able to move all 116 pets in our care at 576 Airport Rd. to our second location at 2905 San Luis Rey Rd. Once the smoke clears, we will work to move the animals back.

Our Emergency Response Team also assisted a 13 year old horse named Jake from the Merced County Sheriff's posse. Jake was a little stressed and tired from the #TournamentOfRoseParade, so we gave him and his handler a ride. #RoseBowl
During the #TournamentOfRoseParade, our Emergency Response Team helped a 17 year old Quarter horse who went down with the rider on the parade route. Our team transported the horse to safety for veterinary care. We are thankful neither the rider or horse were injured.

This red-eared slider hitched a ride in a crawfish shipment from Louisiana. Thankfully, the finder knew it’s illegal to release invasive species, which can harm native wildlife — so they brought the turtle to us today. Our veterinarian Dr. B says the turtle is doing ok!
Our medical team is hard at work decontaminating dogs who have come in after the plane crash in the Murphy Canyon neighborhood of San Diego. So far, we have given 8 dogs a bath. Our Emergency Response Team is also deploying to assist pet owners at the crash site.
Our Emergency Response Team has been busy taking calls for service by pet families who were evacuated after the Murphy Canyon plane crash. Our trained volunteers are going into the evacuation zone to retrieve those animals and return them to their thankful owners.

An emu with injuries to their neck and right wing is safe at our Escondido Campus this morning. Our Humane Officers & Emergency Response Team received a call about the bird running loose in Vista last night. The emu will receive medical care while we search for a possible owner.

Tonight, our Emergency Response Team brought 3 more dogs from @PasadenaHumane. The total # of pets we have transferred so far is 43. German Shepherds Bubu & Bobo, who would love to stay together, and American Pit Bull Terrier Jambalaya, will be available for adoption soon!
Food and water placed for 4 cats reported in the devastation of the #EatonFire in Altadena. This is day 6 for our Emergency Response Team, working to help animals impacted by the fire in the evacuation zones.
This sweet pig is now safe after first responders flagged down our Emergency Response Team in Altadena. The pig's pen had been burned down in the #EatonFire and the back of the property was no longer secured. Sheltering in place was not an option.
Sage and Pippa are safe! On day 3, our Emergency Response Team responded to 37 calls, including a welfare check on 2 cats left behind when their owners had to evacuate their Altadena home due to the #EatonFire. We're so glad these sweet cats are back with their family!
