@onle_a24@OncheonR Funny how it suddenly becomes a โdouble standardโ when you only focus on one side. If youโre going to talk about fairness, then apply the same logic to every situation, not just the ones that fit your narrative.
@OncheonR Thai people, in general, are not hostile or discriminatory toward Indians. Most interactions are neutral or friendly, and isolated cases donโt represent the whole group.
@chiraggg403@CryptoMankind Blaming an entire nationality for everything is low IQ behavior. Every country has good and bad tourists, including Thailand ๐ญ
@Breakspear066@iPoopBased Funny hearing Indonesians talk about โhistorical landsโ when Aceh, Papua, and East Timor history still exist ๐ญ Southeast Asia would collapse if everyone started reviving old maps.
@xf9rn@CryptoMankind Every country in Asia had to deal with colonial powers or imperial Japan in some way. Surviving between major powers for centuries isnโt the own you think it is.
@abloom273858 Fair enough, Vietnam is pushing hard on reforms and long-term growth. But acknowledging Thailandโs current advantages isnโt โliving in the past.โ Both things can be true at the same time.
@abloom273858 Thailand absolutely needs reforms and to take things more seriously, nobody denies that. But โbeing left behindโ by countries that still have lower income levels and weaker infrastructure overall is a bit dramatic.
@abloom273858 Thailand shouldโve progressed further, I donโt disagree. But having a slower growth rate than Vietnam right now doesnโt eras decades of existing infrastructure, industry, and higher income levels overnight.
@DeedrikLiu@IAmDouglasKim Thailand and Indonesia were strongly anti-communist during the Cold War, yes. But WWII and Cold War politics were complicated. Thailand cooperated with Japan after being invaded, while Indonesia was literally occupied by Japan because it was still a Dutch colony at the time.
