2/2 but does it work in the lexicon? And at what point is a person, team, group, etc the only acceptable representation of a thing? Like at one point is Man City just the Man City of not being ruled out?
1/2 @FootballCliches in a recent pod, @D_C_W indicated Man City were like Max Verstappen as they can never be ruled out, no matter how far behind. So is Max the Man City of Formula 1? Does the reverse always work (I understand it does logically, that's how comparisons work)
@gunnerblog@GiantGooner can someone please explain how Chelsea can spend the amount they're spending/buy # players? I'm not frustrated that Arsenal play by the rules, I'm frustrated that other teams don't and there will be NO repercussions. How are they not breaking the rules?
@YankeeGunner Commentators waxing lyrical about how brilliant both teams have been... It's entertaining, sure. But in this case it just means shit defending and chaotic attacking.
Chapeau to @jamesmcnicholas and @DavidOrnsttein for their brilliant journalism. Recent article is not an apologetic for why you should love Ben White (I do), but a masterclass in reporting that goes beyond lazy journalism and stereotypes we fans are constantly subjected to.
@Stillmanator Tim, how good is this team? Every defeat feels disappointing, but disappointment comes from expectation. Are we unrealistically carrying expectations from previous Arsenal teams? Or is it still reasonable to expect this team with this manager to win trophies?
@YankeeGunner@arseblog recommendations on places to look for available tickets if unlucky in the lottery? American hoping to go to first game in December vs West Ham.
