Lack of care packages, young people feeling they don't have a future, businesses in high streets folding- what do they all have in common?

You are probably all sick of me going on about Apprenticeships, skills and supporting small businesses but really, we need skilled people!

I'm not interested in No 10 North, vibes, whether the PM wears a tie or not or what way he takes his tea- but I'm interested in the economic decisions he needs to make, and make quickly.

Literally this time of year every year, like clockwork you get young people who can't get someone to take them on as an apprentice- Why?

Because the UKG have absolutely throttled small businesses til theres nothing left! Rise after rise after rise has meant that businesses who used to be able to offer a young person their first job, to train a young care worker, to create the next generation of entrepreneurs have all been hammered. Rise in National Insurance, rise in energy, rise in minimum eage, rise in everything.

There's no growth, there's no next generation of shops, or domiciliary care workers.

I have been constantly asking the UK Government to review their measures from the 24 & 25 budgets. Get off the backs of small businesses- there's got to be give and take and at the minute it's just take, take take.

As a US Presidential Campaign once said, "it's the economy, stupid"

It really is. If your economic foundation is wrong, everything else goes bust.

The death threat directed at Andrew Muir, and abuse targeting staff in his department, is utterly disgraceful.

There must be space for open debate, but homophobia, misogyny and sectarianism have no place in our society.

These reprehensible threats and acts of intimidation must be condemned by all in positions of political and civic leadership.

Congratulations to Rocco Devlin and Brayden McNally who recently received their U16 Northern Ireland caps.

Both boys travelled worldwide throughout the season representing NI U16s in various competitions and friendlies which is testament to their hard work and commitment throughout the season.

We are so proud of our players representing the players on the international stage🤝
