@Blinding_Truth@F530Josh Went there for Northern Warfare school in January of 84. The 50 below temps did suck, but I learned to ski and saw the northern lights.
@Maureen61110736@cabinsmountain This place was on the route we used to take to the family farm in Dunlap, TN when I was a kid. So it’s been there since the mid seventies at least.
Sharing for Kingston. To save his life.
“Kingston means "king's town"
... but his reality couldn't be further from that. Instead of a kingdom, he has a kennel. Instead of a family, he has people who walk past him. Every single day.
Kingston is only one year old. Just a baby. And he is the sweetest boy. Gentle, loving, playful, and so full of love to give. He is dog friendly, amazing with kids, and everything about him says "perfect family dog."
Right now, Kingston is on the urgent list.
And somehow... not one person has ever stopped to meet him. Not one person has ever asked to take Kingston out of his kennel. They walk by while he spins, jumps, and moves nonstop. They see chaos. They don't see stress. They don't see fear. They don't see a young dog losing his mind in an overwhelming environment.
This is not excitement. This is kennel stress. This is what happens when a loving, energetic dog is trapped behind bars with nowhere to go and no one to turn to.
If someone would just stop.
If someone would just ask to meet him. They would see the real Kingston.
Take him outside and he softens. A sweet, gentle, playful boy who loves fetch and proudly brings the ball back, dropping it right at your feet every time. A dog who wants to be close. A dog who wants to belong. He is sweet. He is gentle.
He is playful. And, he does not deserve to be invisible.
We don't know how Kingston is with cats. But we do know he deserves a home, a family, and a life that finally matches his name.
He is running out of time. This is who he is!!
Please stop scrolling.
Please share Kingston.
Please help him be seen.” 🙏
I shared this post from @ Sharing Lov3 on Tik Tok in hopes it helps Kingston be seen and be saved.
Details on Kingston in the comments.
@Coach_S_Hall@Crashline@TheStingisBack He was a few years ahead of me. He came to LVHS and spoke to one of my classes when Southern Comfort was about to be released. Big deal for a school that had about 500 students 7-12 grade
@MSPTrooper21@policelawnews We used to ask the local agency to send a unit along with us on our warrant pulls so that we could avoid situations like this. We executed warrants all over metro Atlanta and never had an issue.
🚨Marine Sgt. Kevin Lloyd — a hero who once fought for us overseas — is now fighting for every breath, surrounded by family who are rushing to his bedside to say goodbye as I post this 😭 💔
His former wife and caregiver shared this difficult update tonight:
“He’s on high-flow oxygen… it’s the only thing keeping him coherent. He agreed to keep it on until midnight. My children are on the way to say goodbye.
I told him he fought his battle — and we will take it from here.”
She says the VA failed to provide the medical equipment needed to bring him home safely… and he decompensated before they could get him there.
Still, in his final hours, one thing has carried him:
Not a government system.
Not a military bureaucracy.
You. The American people.
“When the Marine Corps and the VA left him behind, the American people did not,” she wrote.
“The cards, the coins, the patches — I want to display them at his funeral… so he knows he wasn’t forgotten.”
Please — wherever you are — pause and lift up Sgt. Kevin Lloyd and his family in your prayers.
